Following on from Dys update on airing shows I thought I’d throw in an update about BD progress.

Release soon/On time:

  • 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku – Trying to find a BDMV source to start this (don’t paste us links to raws, we do not use raws).
  • A Channel – Vol 4 waiting on Mogu for TLC. ETA December.
  • Ah! My Goddess – OVA 2 at TL, ETA unknown.
  • Blood-C – ETA for BD version unknown.
  • Chu-Bra!! – I’d like to update this to BD version, if you know of a BDMV source let me know.

    • And there you have it. Quite a few unknowns but such is life. We shall endeavour to get things done as soon™ as we can. Patience is a virtue.

    April Update + Recruiting Translators!

    April Update

    Recruiting a Japanese Translator
    Firstly, I am looking for a translator to replace someone who has disappeared. Due to CR picking up so many damn shows again next season, I have had to change my plans considerably, and I have some potential shows that I would like to do, but I need a translator. Previous experience in fansubbing not required, but proficiency at Japanese required. If you’re interested, please email me at holo@doki.co.

    General
    As you might have noticed, I have enlarged the blog layout to fit two more sidebars in, as I want space to fit in status updates. As such, I will need some new banners; the current Zombie banner is temporary. I will start up another banner competition in the coming days. There are some old banners that I really love, and if the makers rendered them in the new resolution (1240×250), they will accepted straightaway. More on that later.

    Spring 2011 Shows

    • Nichijou
    • Seikon no Qwaser II

    I will only confirm two spring shows at the moment. However, this is only a fraction of the shows that we will release. The other shows are nearly finalized, but I want to confirm schedules before announcing.

    Blu-Ray

    • Seto no Hanayome – Will be finished by the end of next week.
    • Seikon no Qwaser – Will do my best to complete this before the release of the first episode of Season 2. The picture dramas have actually all been translated now, and I will release a batch of this in the coming week.
    • Haruhi – Confident that it will be complete before the release of Clannad ~After Story~
    • MTLR – Vol 5 will be out in about 2 weeks.
    • SYD – Nana has not had as much progress as he would have liked in TLing this, so this might be delayed past April. But hey, at least KxS, Neko and BGHK got done.
    • Shows not mentioned are not priority at this point, but will be done, so don’t worry.

    Airing Shows

    • Zombie – Double release of 11 and 12 this week. I expect to release 11 on Monday night and 12 on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

    Jecht’s Shows

    • Asobi – The release of the last volume and the batches is imminent.
    • Saki – Steady progress.

    Zdm’s Shows

    • Haruhi-chan – 7-12 will be out soon.

    March Update

    March Update

    So I realise one thing Doki lacks is regular updates on progress of all shows. So from now on, I’ll post regular updates monthly, usually on the last Sunday of the month.

    General

    • Over the past 2 months, I have exponentially increased Doki’s staff, particularly with the training of 10 new timers and recruitment of ~10 new editors.
    • This is in preparation for next season, which will be a big one for Doki. More on that in the next update.
    • To combat the 500 spambots that spam the blog on a daily basis, I have installed a captcha system. If you want to avoid it, just sign up on the blog, and you won’t see the captcha when you comment.

    Airing Projects

    • Zombie – Similar to MTLR last season, it is progressing smoothly, no problems whatsoever.

    BD Projects

    • Shuffle – Shinisaki has unfortunately fallen ill, and cannot release this project as planned. However, I will get the new timers and editors on this ASAP, and we will hammer out releases soon.
    • Haruhi – Due to uni etc getting busier lately, I have not had the chance to release it. However, similar to Shuffle, I will ask the new staff to help me move it along, and releases should be coming soon.
    • Seto no Hanayome – After a long period of no releases, we’re now up to ep12. 13 should be out in the next week.
    • MTLR – Up to date.
    • Ore no Imouto – QCing the scripts for BD release. Will probably release as a huge batch of Vols 1-4.

    Backlog BDs

    • Seikon no Qwaser – @Dmon for TLC. All episodes have now been encoded.
    • B Gata H Kei – All 720p and half of the 1080ps have been encoded. 1-4 awaiting release, and 5-12 awaiting TLC. This project will be complete by April
    • SYD – Nana will translate this show from where we left off. This project will also be complete in April.

    Jecht’s Projects

    • Saki – Progressing.
    • Shukufuku no Campanella Vol.6 plus all specials left are in the queue to be encoded.
    • Asobi ni Iku Yo! Vol.5 should be done soon.

    Zdm321’s Projects

    • Haruhi-chan – Progressing.

    Other Misc Stuff

    • Donations – Many thanks to all who donate every month.

    Lastly, I just want to give a special shoutout to ZeroYuki. He was Doki’s first ever translator and has stuck by us to this day, making him the longest serving member of Doki’s staff. He’s also translated the most shows for Doki. If he had chosen to translate Ladies versus Butlers for another group back in Winter 2009, Doki will most certainly not be where it is today. So, thanks!

    Updates and stuff

    Tanamachi Kaoru

    So erm, about my projects…

    • Saki: Kuon/Aesyl quit so now I am looking for an editor to fill in for her (since she even blocked me in Skype I couldn’t ask her anything). Interested ones should check SGKK site either today night or tomorrow.
    • Asobi ni Iku Yo!: Episode 04 goes for a round of QC (which might involve Edit and TLC) today. It should be out shortly. Volume 3 is downloading and goes to encode after that. It will be worked on after I get rid of some backlog and set up a few things.
    • Senkou no Night Raid: BD Volume 6 is downloading and will be encoded. After that it’s just re-time/time shift (masat) and QC again to make sure everything is in order. (Again, yes, we will sub Special 04 that comes with Volume 7. Stop asking. It wouldn’t make sense to sub the 1st 3 specials and then drop the 4th one.)
    • New project, Shukufuku no Campanella: Yeah, I will be working on this as I work on Asobi. Basically, someone will encode (Hologfx or kokus), then masat re-times and I’ll do the rest.

    Sup? So here’s the deal, Doki have quite the load and I want to bring out decent releases, therefore a joint is needed. With whom? SGKK Fansubs of course. With that being said, status of the episode can be found here and some info here. That’s about it.

    Summer Status Update

    I decided to make this post just to let everyone know we’re still working on all of our projects and none of them have been dropped (or will be dropped). We’re currently facing one of our accursed TL crisis, as jkidd, our TL for Seitokai Yakuindomo and Asobi ni Iku Yo!, suddenly disappeared last week.

    Current Projects: These shows are being subbed as they air with TV Transport Streams.

    Asobi ni Iku Yo!: Episode 04 is waiting on ED translation, after that is final QC and release.

    Seitokai Yakuindomo: Episode 04-05 are being TLed.

    Shukufuku no Campanella: Episode 06 hasn’t aired yet. This is the show least likely to get delayed, as ZeroYuki is the only consistent TL.

    Ladies vs. Butlers Specials: Special 05 is being sorted out by Holo.

    Old/Backlog Projects: These are old or backlogged projects. These will most likely wait for their respective DVD/BD releases.

    Seikon no Qwaser: BD Vol.2 is at TLC/QC. BD Vol.3 is at Encode. Eps 17+ are awaiting translation by EdwardDFMA.

    B Gata H Kei: Episodes 01-09 are mostly done script-wise. 10-12 are awaiting translation.

    Kiss x Siss: BD Vol.1 is ready. BD Vol.2 is at Encode. Episodes 07+ are awaiting translation.

    Mayoi Neko Overrun: BD Vol.1 is at Encode. Episode 06 is somehow still at editing. 07 is done. Episodes 08+ are awaiting translation.

    Saki: 09+ are at Timing. Our timer for this show dramaquit for RL issues. Volunteers are welcome.

    The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya: Episodes 6-24 are awaiting translation from Spicy-sama. (Spicy-sama was last seen here 20 days, 16 hours, 37 minutes ago. Yeah…)

    Air: Holo just returned from China, and this is probably his new BD project.

    This concludes our current status on all the projects. You can also check on them at our Projects page (http://doki.hologfx.com/projects/), where they are being constantly updated by staff members.

    Status Update. Requested!

    • Seikon no Qwaser: 16 is being edited. 17+ are being translated.
    • B Gata H Kei: 03 is awaiting QC/Rel. 04 is being typeset and 05 is being edited. 06+ are being translated.
    • KissxSis: 05 is being edited. 06+ are being translated.
    • Mayoi Neko Overrun!: 05 is awaiting QC/Rel. 06 is half translated and timed. 07+ are being translated.
    • Senkou no Night Raid: 06.5-08 are being translated.
    • Saki: 07 is being timed.
    • LvB Special 3: is being translated.
    • Haruhi-chan: 05+ are being translated.
    • Holo adds:
    • Clannad: 720p being encoded, 2 episodes at a time. Encodes will be complete some time this week. All that is left is retiming/time checking the scripts and then they can be released. 1080p to be encoded after 720p.
    • Air: DVD scripts being QCed and retimed.
    • Haruka: BD will be released using PD raws since the BDISOs are not appearing after over half a year of waiting, and the series is not good enough for me to spend money to buy the BDISOs. To be completed over June.
    • Chu Bra!!: Will do it in the summer if time permits. If not then I’ll do it later.
    • My last exam is on this Thursday, so I shall be active again Thursday evening.
    • LvB Patches are back!
