Haven’t read any posts since December, so if you have an error to report that I missed and you want fixing for any of my older shows post here to let me know! Also added scripts to the Iroha and 30 sai posts that were missing.

Links all point to 480p patch. (Just copy the link, paste and change the name, works fine.)

• Rokudaime

I can confirm this. Also, since SDOTN didn’t specify which patches he was talking about: I’m talking about the Yama no Susume patches. The links for the Outbreak Company patches all work like they should.

Ack. Need to add:

Thanks for the batch guys! Much appreciated! ^_^

• Rokudaime

We missed you Ix! ^^ Thanks for the batch! ^^

Thank you guys!
I patiently waiting this for ages!
It’s one of my Doki watch list.

• Geese1

Thanks for finishing this up!

• Elvin21

Thanks! This one to the archive.

• I used to play on the official server for Aura Kingdom but then I got tired of the way things were being ran over at Aeria Games so I went over to play on a private server.

Fun game but bad managing over at AG.

Since Episode 5 there is something wrong with font for me:
Upper image from EP1, bottom from EP5.
I’m also got in the console for EP5:

[ass] fontconfig: Selected font is not the requested one: ‘Verdana’ != ‘Montara Gothic’

Since it’s only font size and everything else fine (even positioned text) I’m not sure it was worth it, but report anywhere.

Player specs can be found here:
or there:
in the comments.

I’m not sure what caused this, but looks like you’re switched main dialogue font in the middle of anime.

I’m not complaining, just a little feedback.

Again – thank you for all your hard work!

• Not sure about this.

Checked the styles and the fonts are the same and the font used is in the release, so dunno why it looks like that for you.

• You already wrote in that you have problems with otf-files.

“I checked out contents of the .MKV containers and figure out that all “missing” fonts in the .OTF format.
Looks like mplayer and mplayer2 can’t render *.OTF fonts at all, so this can’t be fixed at your side.
Although you can replace .OTF with .TTF I think it’s not worth to do.
I made a note for myself don’t forget to check font format before report about any missing fonts in the future.”

Montara Gothic in in an otf-file. 🙂

Thanks for the answers guys!

I guess I found the culprit behind all of this.
In fact that build of MPlayer support otf-fonts, because, as I said, first four episodes works just fine.
Because of that I dig a lot deeper into details.

In EP1 “Montara Gothic” saved in attachment as:
“montara_gothic.otf” (MIME type application/x-truetype-font, size 45568)

But since EP5 it saved as:
“montara_gothic.otf” (MIME type application/vnd-ms.opentype, size 45568)

Since that old build of MPlayer didn’t know what is “vnd-ms.opentype” – the file completely ignored and skipped.

By the way there also fonts like:
“BlambotCasual.ttf” (MIME type application/vnd-ms.opentype, size 37316)
With wrong MIME type too (ttf – truetype, not opentype).

MPlayer supports two font MIME types: “application/x-truetype-font” and “application/x-font”.
I did a quick test – extract all fonts from EP5, and mux them back with MIME for all as “application/x-font”.
After I run episode – all the warnings disappears and all fonts works like a charm.
So, as a workaround, I can suggest to set MIME type for all the fonts as neutral “application/x-font”, and let the video player decide what font is by its content and not MIME type.
I hope this will help you.

• Check what version of mkvmerge muxed those files.

Oh, I see, you’re switched from v4.0.0 (EP 1-4) to v6.8.0 (EP 5 and later).
I don’t have neither of these version, so may I ask you a dumb question: what’s wrong with v6.8.0?
You can’t change MIME type?
IIRC, ixlone says “4.0.0 4lyfe” in Railgun comments.
So why you switched in first place – is there any benefits compared to older v4.0.0?
Just curious – I didn’t try you to force to “fix” this (it’s not a broken actually) if you don’t want, but it would be nice.
At least for a future releases, because I clearly understand that no one in sane mind 🙂 will change it in already finished projects just for this (or should I say, just for one person who struggle with some backward compatibility issues).
Thank you!

• anonymlol

Because there are things we need that 4.0.0 doesn’t support.

• I guess v6.8.0 sucks at font detection. I haven’t switched over from 4.0.0 but others may have.

• Guest

Thanks for the reply!
I don’t have anything against v6.8.0 or should I say I don’t have anything against MKVToolNix at all except three things:
1) Ordered chapters in different files (when OP, ED and episode not in one single file).
2) Compression (for h264 and AAC/FLAC streams it completely useless and only consumes CPU time when decoding and everything else (subtitles, fonts, etc.) didn’t gain much space compared to overall file size).
3) And as I just discovered MIME type for fonts different from “application/x-font”.
Since you didn’t use ordered chapters in 480p [1] and didn’t use compression [2] (accidentally in TV, but never in DVD/BD), so…

May I politely ask you to set MIME type for fonts when you add them to the mkv-file as “application/x-font” please (at least for 480p)?

You’re the only one decent group which releases I can watch without having too much trouble.
Thank you!

Oh sweet, been waiting for this.

Now we just need the Yahari batch with the OVA, and the last vol of Machine Doll, and all will be complete.

• Neo

Why did you change the way you spell Myucel’s name?

• ibanix

I’m with Neo, and I know I’m late to the party, but I really don’t get “Myuser” when “Myucel” in the manga (at least the version I read( seemed much… smoother.

• Nymph-chan

can’t seem to’s not showing up on your Anidex thingy
