I agree with you, his second comment is very difficult to understand.
He first says that he doesn’t have any subtitles with this episode.
Then someone responds telling him how to fix that, and he speaks about converting? Guessing he doesnt know how to change the subtitles? Shrug

Hmm subs didnt work for me on the 720 hi10p either.
Was using MPHC and i right clicked and checked the subtitles and it was supposed to be enabled.
noticed this on the of PVs from the summer pack too. Anyone know whats wrong?
Right click (Or “Play” in the menu) > Filters > (Location of the file) > S:ASS[English]
MPC crashed the first time, but it worked after trying again.
For VLC it’s Video > Subtiles Track > ASS – [English] (Rebuilding font cache took 2 minutes or so…)
Thanks, this worked perfectly. Strange that it didn’t do it automatically like usual though.

I accidentally had the subs off by default when I remuxed the matroska files to modify the chapters, simply press “s” in MPC to turn them on.

Changing Violle to Violet totally makes sense, since Violet means Purple in French and many characters have French words as names (totally fits with Jaune, Noir and Vert which are colors too).

You’ve lost me: Violet is spelled the same in French as it is in English, though they are pronounced differently.
It’s a colour, it doesn’t mean “purple” specifically”, it’s part of the higher side of the spectrum.
In french it is pronounced more like: “violle”
No, patches won’t be made, but we’ll fix this for the BDs.
It’s more my fault, because Violet just sounds more natural to me than a French name because I am amurrikkkan and that’s what I’m used to. I totally understand why “Violle” would make sense in the anime’s context though.
I just don’t want to have to worry about us getting the name wrong, I guess. So for now I think we should go with Violet. Apologies if you liked the other name more…
Well, in France we say “violet” where you say purple.
Purple can also be translated to “pourpre” or “cramoisi”
but those 2 are pretty uncommon and specific.
The way they pronounce it in the anime is about right for the French color “Violet”.
How can I fix it for WMP? Call me dumb, but i like it better.
