The other lines dont make much sense. The first sentence can basically be read backwards, but again, there are extra words. Maybe japanese translated with babelfish?
The numbers were backwards, right (A=26, Z=1, etc.)?

I found several dates that could be plausible… Damnit, I have no idea how to figure out wich ones aren’t possible. Oh well, I’ll come back to it later again! 🙂

Deciphered, it’s saying form a star over everything with the points falling on the the birthdays of the Heroines of the Original Clannad. The last line before the quote puzzles me a bit, but I think it has something to do with Tomoya’s long absence during Tomoyo After.
I don’t know the birthdays of Tomoyo, Nagisa, Kyou, Fuuko, or Kotomi to form a star over the code, but I believe it is something like this:

No, the translation is a simple code where a number corresponds to a letter (in this case, reverse alphabetical order). The existing translation is correct. What meaning it has, is less clear.
I feel like everyone’s passed me up within a couple days. I understood the simple coding piece of 1-26 and when doing it nothing made sense so doing it backwards I ended up with what most others here got, but that’s just about as far i can go without spending an entire week on it most likely. I feel so stupid because I haven’t done riddles in forever.
Maybe everybody has already realised this; but I feel I can’t keep it to myself. It’s probably nothing significant though.
The number “22” is repeated exactly 22 times in the code.

Admittedly, there are two very accurate theories as to the date of PURPORTED release. There’s June 28th, which is the day Tomoya asks to smell Tomoyo’s breath, and the third person, Takafumi, enters.
Alternatively, there is July 20th, which is Fuuko’s birthday, because as we all know, Fuuko is a third-person person, and her symbol is the starfish. Additionally, I have to cite Bo’s example of the substitution trick.
However, I think it may be just me, but isn’t that line a quote from the Baka-Tsuki translation of Tomoyo After?
I don’t really see how people bring Fuko into the equation unless they relate the “star” to a starfish, but that seems like a bit of a stretch. However, apparently I have the same birthday as Fuko, so I’m not opposed to having the patch released on the 20th of July.
I’m going to go with the 28th of July or the 16th/26th of June. Tried many things and the 2 most logical solutions that I got were those 2 dates. I’m really excited to see the answer but for now my only hopes are for the answer to be at close to my answers.

In my deliberations I’m assuming a few things.
1. The realse date is some time this year, most likly nearby.
2. The answer I realativly simple to figure out useing only the Clannad franchise as reference.
3. That the riddle is definatly the answer somehow.
Okay, im assuming everyone knows by now that the replaceing the numbers with letters come up with a readable but broken “riddle.”
Noticing this I thought to run that through Google Translator to Japanese, then run the Japanese Translation back to English. That resulted in something a bit better on the grammer. It also changed the meaning of all the sentences, however I can’t think of where to go from here.

The first line I think is easy, It refer to the date thing in the corner.

I can only guess that the third line mean some time after a birthday, however none of the characters have a birthday that would be nearby, thus making this whole exercise pointless. However Clannad was originally released April 28. That date is close to now and must somehow be connected.
The fourth line translated is definantly confuseing to me. how a human smell could have anything to do with a date I don’t know. Other than it may refer to to first day they show after the five year jump from nagisa’s death, however I can’t check this cause the Clannad Translation is incomplete and it doesn’t show the date for that day.
The fifth line is straighforward, figure out this “figure out this riddle and you’ll probably know when the release date is.
I should clarify, on the fourth line “1/3 of a human smell”, may refer to the fact that for a brief time 3 people lived in Tomoya’s apartment in After Story arc, thus the first time they show the apartment is nearly five year later when only tomoya lives there.
okay i don;t know this when i posted my idea, but it turns out that the Fifth line of mine is majorly incorrect. It should be “lets go to look for the treasure of the life”. Since this line refers to Tomoyo After itself im thinking that it either refers to somthing in Tomoyo After itself or it has nothing to do with the riddle other than “If you figure out the riddle to get the release date.”

So we’re looking for the treasure – it’s not just a riddle but a treasure hunt! The numbers were the gps coordinates of the first clue.
