Is it just me? The 480p is a square instead of a rectangle…Like I think it is 640×480 instead of 848×480.
if u don’t want to redownload it….assume that they will release v2….
force its aspect ratio to 16:9 😉

My CRC matches that on the release post, so I suspect a re-dl wouldn’t help.
@Gar I had the same issue with the 480p release. It was giving me something like 848×640 by default. However, after seeing Martinez’ comment, I changed the aspect ratio away from the file’s default to 16:9 and things looked normal again. Thanks M.

Same problem. Video has 840×636 (False encode). You can change it in mkvmerge into 840×480, so all players would play it right. But I hope there will be a v2.

Have made a fix (not patch) who change the aspect ratio into 848×480. That is for people who has always download it and won’t re-download the coming v2.

Because it’s more compatible with devices then MKV. If you want the best quality then what are you doing getting 480p in the first place?
xvid and mkv are not alternatives to one another. mkv is a container; xvid is a video encoding format.
Doki’s 480p release is h264 encoded video in an mkv container. I suspect you’re asking for an avi (which would probably be xvid), but it would be entirely possible to have xvid encoded video in an mkv container.
Terru, You get my point though, right? The AVIs are more compatible with devices than the MKVs.
Sure, just pointing out that if you ask for xvid when you really want avis you might be disappointed. 😉

It looks like there are some dropped video frames around 3:27, 4:56, 9:40, 20:09, 20:14. They are present in both HD and SD encodes. Is it a source stream problem or I’m just high early in a friday morning after watching first episode of clannad after story?

That’s actually how they broadcasted it. If it isn’t intentional, I guess Tatsunoko is having some production difficulties.

No aspect ratio probs here…and my compy usually shows them if there are ANY encode issues.
You guys should try to cut down on “….” it’s unnatural english and very annoying. At times long sentences need not be separated. So put 2 liners.
I know C is a technical show, so I don’t mind the awkward phrasing, but “Five days earlier” is just plain awkward. Use “Five days ago”. I mean, isn’t this a common usage phrase?
Honestly? ‘Five days earlier’ isn’t awkward at all. It’s something I would probably say IRL, so it doesn’t grate at all.
I agree somewhat with the split lines and whatnot though. Consider your feedback noted and mentioned to the relevant parties.
