Update: The BDMV has been put on torrent, and I am downloading right now. It will take a week or so, as it is 173 GBs lol.
Like Kanon, I will release Clannad in 3 sizes: 1080p, 720p and 480p. The plan is:
1080p: h264 + FLAC 5.1 (~1 GB)
720p: h264 + AAC 5.1 (~400 MB)
480p: XviD + MP3 2.0 (~300 MB)
Ordered chapters: None. (Download Coalgirls if you want OC)
Softsubbed karaoke. (Identical to Kanon karaoke)
I won’t write much… to put it simply: THANK YOU!

Omg thank you very much!! I agree with all of your choices 😀
I dont agree with karaoke, softsub is ugly. But nevermind I’ll download it anyway I cant wait to rewatch one of the best anime in the BD quality:)
You made good decision with everything, I look forward to your releases =)
Morph: I can see where you’re coming from but the point with softsubs is that the karaoke (and the subs themselves ofc) can be _turned off_, it’s not that it’s supposed to look “better” or more flashy than a hardsubbed karaoke. Karaoke is an abomination in my opinion. I would never archive a hardsubbed release as I wouldn’t be able to edit the script for each episode and delete everything that even resembles a karaoke effect. I usually only keep the translation but sometimes I let the romaji stay (after having removed the karaoke effect and turned it into plain text that is).
Some people like karaoke, some people hate it and can’t really take the release seriously when you simply can’t get rid of the jumping song lyrics and the fabulous particle effects that are often seen in hardsubbed karaoke, ruining the video. Softsubs allow the fansubbers to cater to both audiences.
And I must say, I think that a lot of people underestimate softsubbed karaoke. Download THORA’s Bakemonogatari_ED from their site and have a look. That’s one of the best and least intrusive karaokes I’ve seen, but that’s just my personal opinion. Some people even think that karaokes like that are hardsubbed simply due to the fact they never tried turning them off. =)
When will you release it?
Thanks a ton for your release decisions!
No ordered chapters FTW! Linux love! 😀
no puedo esperar a q los posteen ya quiero descargarlos y verlos . bueno a esperar y muchas gracias
