Are you planning on doing the specials/OVAs at some point, or should we grab them from somewhere else?
I gave up on Doki ever finishing the specials and did them all myself last fall. Spent probably 100+ hours redoing the typesetting for all 9 specials in Doki’s style, fixing/adding/improving the TS from the ones they released (think there has been one since I finished), and reusing TS and making new TS for the unreleased eps (using R1 subs.)
And now I’ve been working on S2 specials adding TS in place of Mori’s abysmal TS (I did copy some modified Doki TS on the transitions that were reused from S1 specials, not sure if they would approve, but I didn’t really plan on ever sharing my S2 specials work.)
I meant to contact Doki to see if they were interested back in November, but I forgot. Offer still stands I guess, but I’m betting they just want to wipe their hands of it and move on.
Any chance you’ll release your scripts? I would very much like them for archiving purposes!

No big, but the torrents at TT say 2012, your info on this page says 2013. I assume the right torrents were issued.
I wouldn’t even have mentioned it if you were authorized to submit for Doki on TT.
Yeah, the series is 2012 and the folders say that too.

Why not include the specials you’ve already done in the batch (I know you haven’t done all of them, but you did some of them, no?)? Seems a bit odd. Oh well, regardless, thank you for the batch. π Should I get the S1 and S2 Offline specials from a different group? Are they worth getting? Like, I can’t find a description about them, and if they’re just Real Life or Live Action stuff, or interviews, or animated but just recaps, or whatever, then I’m not interested, but if they’re like smaller, standalone, animated side story episodes or something, then I am.
Didn’t include them in the batch because all of them weren’t there.
If we had TLs for all of them, I’d have finished them, muxed them, and put them in the batch.
Don’t think I’m supposed to batch something that’s incomplete!

Upon watching all of them (because they actually weren’t bad if I don’t have to deal with the bullshit of actually subbing them) they were pretty good, and had lots of deredere stuff between Kirito and Asuna, which I quite liked.
Damn, then I most definitely need to get them, especially if it has Asuna and Kirito deredere stuff. Any idea/recommendations for what group (s) I should be getting those from?

I found the S1 specials from Raziel, CBM did the one from the Extra Edition, and Mori did 1 through 5 for S2. I can’t find 6-9 from S2 anywhere though…
try looking on Kametsu. Aniplex subs all of the specials so I’m sure the dub lovers have a decent dual audio version by now
I went to Kametsu’s site and put “Sword Art Online” in the Search box and hit enter, and it came out blank…
Kametsu has one of the worst search bar I’ve ever used. Keyword sao works but none of them had the specials, unfortunately

checked out a few minutes of ep.6, definitely gets a passing grade. probably a lot better than the one with PGS subs I mentioned

Its a shame they’ll probably never get properly typeset, though. 6 needs a lot of gradients and drawings, and I’m sure the others do too.
