Dear lord, can she get any cuter?
I’ve only recently started studying Japanese independently, but is it me or is Freyja speaking with an accent in Japanese? I know Japanese Accents are different from other languages as the word itself is changed in the accent rather than just the pronunciation is off.
She speaks a Western dialect of some kind. Like when she’s in the back of the jet and Hayate takes it into a steep dive suddenly, she complains “mou, utan yarou!” which in standard Moon would be “mou, utanai darou!”.
I thought it was Kansai dialect at first but I’m pretty sure I heard her use the “ja” copula (“da” in standard Japanese”) too. Kansai only uses “ya”, which would mean Freyja is using one of the other similar Western dialects. Gifu-Aichi maybe.

now now yama-san, have some patience.. its not like they’re 5 episodes behind or something.. oh wait..
but still, from the one ep of GGs i tried to watch, the joint effort by D/C is still much better done, if somewhat slower.. much slower.. horribly slower.. dieing of old age before the next ep is released slower.. but still better
i’d be placing the responsibility for the lateness on the C side of things, they are rather notorious for being slow and only doing what they feel like doing when they feel like doing it
