Was this show as bad as people made it out to be?

It wasn’t so much that it was bad as that it wasn’t as good as it could have been. The premise is good, the world is good, there just isn’t quite enough done with any specific thing. Plus the last few episodes apparently ran out of money so the animation got bad. As in MSPaint quality art here and there and still frames filling up a quarter or more of the episode.
