The anime isn’t very far behind the manga, so if there is going to be a season 2 of Darkness (likely), it probably will not happen for a couple of years.
I should clarify, 8bit being larger than 10bit is what I recall, the resolution being lowered to keep the file size within reason is speculation.
8Bit is worse in quality as well o_o It’s just so bad xD I personally don’t care what size the file is, I just want everything to be of good quality 🙂
Sometimes it’s not about preference, it’s what you can play. I CAN play 10-bit, but I like switching back and forth between media players when the situation calls for it, so I like to have 8-bit, which works for both.
For the record, the difference in quality between 8-bit and 10-bit is hardly different, it depends on the encoder. I’ve tested multiple versions and find that some subs have better encoding than others.
I’ve had 2 versions of the same show under both 8-bit and 10-bit, and there was only a SMALL difference in quality, not enough to notice easily. So it really depends on who handles the encoding, although some raws are an exception to that statement (some were bad).
Thanks for the release!
Thanks! 🙂
This was a very “meh” last episode to me. After ep 11, you expect something really big to happen, but nothing does.
Any info about season 2?
I’m not following this show, but assuming there’s material left I bet they make Season 2 for Winter 2013. It would make sense.

They ended it in the midway…total bummer. Now have to wait another year or two 🙁
Thanks!
Thanks
Thanks! 😀

Thanks for the effort, Doki! Looking forward to your BD releases!
Btw. Momo is mai waifu!
Woop woop. Season 1(?) completed!
BTW, @14:46 “Whys is it (…)” should be “Why is it (…)”.
Are you going to sub Seikon no Qwaser II?
I know this is irrelevant to this show, but this has been bugging me for a while now.
Why don’t you guys release 720p 8-bit and 10-bit instead of 720p 10-bit and 480p 8-bit?
If I recall correctly, 8bit is larger filesize than 10bit so they lower to resolution to keep the file within a reasonable size.
The file size doesn’t really bother me, it’s having the ability to fullscreen a video without the loss of quality that I prefer.
I wish that all 3 options were available, but I understand that it’s a lot of work to do so.
“8bit is larger filesize than 10bit”
Wait, whut? EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A LIE

OMG, here we go again…..
I’m only stating it, I’m not trying to make it into an argument or debate.
Thanks 😀
Does anybody know when the 2nd BluRay volume will come out?
I’m kiiiind of looking forward to it 🙂
