Me too, seriously. Doki’s TV version is still better than any BD version out there. Their subs actually make sense. It hurts to wait though.
hello. just wondering why the bd releases’file size a bit smaller then the regular ones?
Light colours mean smaller file size. Though some of the later eps at night time the file size is higher.
Also not a lot of action in iroha, so again, smaller file size.
That makes sense, but it doesn’t really answer the question. As for why the BD versions are smaller, I’m not really sure, but it might have something to do with the image being more pristine, therefore not needing such a high bit-rate.
each scene in Hanasaku mostly consist of static ones, not dynamic / action.
For example, 3-length hours of Suzumiya Haruhi movie only 8.7 GBs, but 1 hour 40 minutes of Fate/stay night : Unlimited Blade Works demand 12.8 GBs of filesize

Figured you meant other BDs in general.
Because it’s pristine, it can compress better. TV is not so pristine, can’t compress as well, therefore larger.
