I finally got to watching my favorite episode in the 1st season, the Tomoyo Chapter of course! I don’t know if it’s just my player, but I noticed that the subs for the song at the end were stuttering in and out of the screen in the 1080p version. Has anyone else seen this happen?

okay, i just found this ‘maybe typo subs’…
clannad 23 1080p and 1080p Hi10p…around 1405-1408, arent the line supposed to be like this “hey, over here” instead of “over here, Mei”?
Just for more clarification, I guess; the subs stuttering issue that I’m having occurs in the ‘Another World, Tomoyo Chapter’ in 1080p from 20:24-23:15. It’s happening with the Karaoke subs for the song in the background.
That’s not the subs stuttering, it’s your system struggling to render muliple subs at the same time. Play around with some settings in your player options.

1080p Hi10P + kara or heavy typesetting can make systems struggle.
Okay, I found a ‘slight’ fix. In DircetVobSub if I disable “Allow animation when buffering” it fixes the flickering, but then kills Karaoke for everything, even files that I don’t have issues with. If anyone knows a work-around that would be great. This hasn’t ever happened to me before, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. Also, just FYI I’m using WMP and I have the K-Lite Codec Pack Installed, I’ve tried other stuff and this just works best for me so please no propaganda if at all possible (unless I really do need to change), I just want to get the components out for more clarification.
Also, sorry if this isn’t the right place for a topic like this, if I need to move to the forums or something please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks a lot martinez! All I did was follow the step 2 and applied the VSFilter fix to K-Lite and now it magically works! Miracles are happening in this thread people! It’s gonna be Clannad!

WMP just seems to work for me without much tweaking. I’m not an especially tech-savvy guy so it’s pretty much the path of least resistance that still gets me what I want.
MPC will give you less trouble than WMP really. So if you want the path of least resistance, you ought to use that one.
