All shows that are planned are shown on the schedule (on the left), or either in the planned projects section. If you don’t see the anime on any of the lists, it means that we are not planning to sub it.
I think Dys, or one of the staff at least, said that it was taken out of the planned line-up because it was bound to be a trouble show. I guess there was a lack of interested staff for it.
I don’t have the time to spend 4 hours a week fixing it, if the team is likely to be unstable. (see mayo chiki)
Can’t blame you. It’s better to focus your resources than wear yourselves too thin. When the time comes (along time ahead seeing as F/Z will have an odd split-season and a BD boxset)it’d be nice if you can again cobsider doing the BD’s with borrowed subs.
Neither do any of the other PL’s.
It always amazes me that Chie looked so… meh in the game but in other media (like the manga) I think she’s pretty cute. ^^;

Not talking about typos or missing words like it was already explained here.
-“King Moron” —> “Morokin” It’s actually a good translation, we’re just not used to it.
-Not condensed subs. Sometimes you’re still reading and the next one pops in.
-Karaoke not working in certain codecs.
-Having karaoke subs in the fighting scee was great, altough still not 100% working.
-No subs in the comercial break stats.
-Whoever was in charge of the translation, never played Persona 4.
-No bear puns… REALLY? It’s unBEARable!

Yes I did. ^_^ I just didn’t play it in English.
Well playing it in Japanese would not be the big difference I was talking, because I’m not complaining about the English “wording”… after all… I backed you up in the “morokin” issue.
Just nitpicking aspects as subbing the stats (which would be important since it seems it will grow together with the episodes) or even the “fired up” when Izanagi used Zio.

The only problem that I can’t ignore sadly, would be not condensing the subs into less words but saying the same.

And for differences like the bear puns, it's entirely down to my having played in Japanese. :'D There aren't very many in the Japanese version of the game (none in this episode, either~), and I think Atlus USA probably played them up as a way of compensating for there not really being a nice way of translating the character's habit of sticking "kuma" on the end of every sentence.
(For what it's worth, I'd choose consistency with an established English version if I were working alone too. But you have to make compromises when working as part of a group, and Doki tends to favour sticking to the source material where possible, so I just translated according to the version I played rather than researching Atlus USA's existing translations~)

Just my 2 cents worth of condensing:
When Margaret introduces herself, would be best (I think) to let the first phrase be in the ending… not only it will be consistent with what she says… it will also divide the sub into 2 subs. Therefore:
“My name is Margaret. I will be supporting you on the journey that lies ahead.”
—will turn out into—
“I will be supporting you on the journey that lies ahead.” end
“My name is Margaret.” end
Also when I saw “Hey, you little freak” when Morokin said “Kisama!”… I know it doesn’t have a specific translation, but it made us all go back in the our player to fully read what was written there.
But hey I’m not a subber… just giving my honest opinion 🙂 If I’m concerned about this issue is surely because I want people to fully enjoy this show =D

The karaoke works with all the media players I’ve tested it on. You have to make sure that karaoke animation is enabled, or it just looks weird.
I dunno. Can’t win. I go basic karaoke and people bitch and moan it’s not good enough and it’s “boring.” and I try a little harder and I get people telling me it’s too much.
Oh, and as a side note, 1: Everyone working on this show has played Persona 4, either the Japanese, or the English version. 2: Not making bear jokes that make us look like fools, just to match the official translation, was a style choice to… wait for it… not make us look like fools. 😀 They were only a device to replace Kuma’s “-kuma” verbal tick.

codecs =/= media players
If you have the correct codec, any media player will show it properly.

Yes, and codecs =/= karaoke subs
Subs aren’t dictated by any codec. The only thing required to play back subs is an .ass compatible sub renderer. So what you said was incorrect, what I said was that all the media players with subtitle renderers that I have used, have played them correctly.
EDIT: (getting the name right) DirectVobSub (vsfilter) plays them fine too, since I have had people using it test the stylings. That is what a lot of media players that have to use external resources for .ass subtitles use.
I didn’t miss your point. I was just letting you know why we chose to take the route with TL’s. Did I perhaps seem standoffish? Since I was the one given the choice when it came to things like “Kuma” and such, I thought it best that I mention my own reasoning. XD
My solution:
upgraded my codecs = it started to work
So… it “has” to have an impact, not entirely sure which one, but I tried and they got to work.
The “missing point” was about karaoke.
I didn’t moan/bitch about the karaoke, in fact I praised the fact that it had karaoke in the fighting scene.
About the “Kuma”, if you notice… I made a joke right after I wrote about it. So it should be understood as if bear puns have no real impact… which they haven’t 🙂
I wonder if you use k-lite codec pack, or perhaps cccp?
Both install DirectVobSub on your PC, so perhaps it also updated DirectVobSub to a compatible version?
Oh, haha, I wasn’t saying you were bitching about it. It was more a reference to the people on the previous page telling me it doesn’t work or it causes epic lag.
Doing bear puns would be like doing squid puns in ika musume, it just starts looking retarded and repetitive after a while.

Very nice… but adding karaoke during the insert song was VERY distracting. I wish you wouldn’t do that.
A tip: Don’t read the karaoke.
A note: As of next week I will be including a karaoke and non-karaoke script so that people whose PC’s can’t handle it/find it distracting won’t have issues.

Totally liked the fact that they actually adapted/modified the game’s OST, illustrations, and the Persona concept unlike trinity soul where they just abandoned the whole concept.
Yes, it actually felt like Persona.
I wonder if they’re going to just focus on Izanagi itself or have the ability to use multiple Personas. Seems hard to do the multiple persona ability in animation though.

The dates listed are the air dates, not the release dates.
On schedule simply means it’s going at the speed we intend it to go at. It has nothing to do with the air date.
Hey, I never cared to comment on Subber’s post, but Persona is one of my final games on PS2 and have a great impact on me T^T (though I never had a chance to finish it for one reason that hard to tell in short sentences)

My bad, it so happens that they did Gosick (and dropped another show). I’m not holding much hopes about their speed doing SnS without backup from Eclipse though. Who knows, at the very least they’ve never gotten to the absurd level of delaying of Frostii, although they’ve been close.
