    BOBBLEHEADS EVERYWHERE

This is definitely another /bail/ series, lots of them from spring season.

Would’ve posted a comment a while ago, but forgot I had to re-register. Excellent work on the series, guys. I was a bit curious, are you guys getting these episodes via share raws or are they straight up .ts? Just curios.

Sadly, we do not have an AT-X capper (AT-X airs RKB a full day before other stations), so we just use share raws.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the reply. That really sucks that y’all can’t get an AT-X capper. That happens to be my favorite anime station. If it’s not too much trouble, would you mind explaining just how the whole capping process works? I’m sure there’s more to it than saying ” hey man, you mind recording this particular tv show for me?”

Yeah, there’s much more to it.

First off, AT-X is a paid/subscription based channel, which costs ~$20 USD a month (plus standard subscription fees for satellite television).

Second, the satellite service that AT-X is a part of uses DVB broadcasting standard, while traditional terrestrial (over-the-air) broadcasts use the ISDB standard. Due to the standard difference, the capper would have to purchase a second tuner just to tune into AT-X.

So, not only would we have to find a capper willing to pay $20+ a month for that one channel, but they would have to purchase new equipment to tune into that channel. The cost of waiting a few hours for a share raw far outweighs the costs of month subscriptions and new hardware.
But don’t worry, we’re doing the BDs, so you won’t have to worry about archiving share raws. 😛
