This show is different from what I usually watch, but it was a fun way of being introduced to the culture of confections in Japan, especially since I am in Japan at the moment for a year. Studying Japanese and being able to speak it still doesn’t teach you about what people in Japan have been growing up with. This makes having conversations about stuff from back in the day very difficult for people that didn’t grow up in Japan. But, with Dagashi Kashi, although I don’t share the nostalgic feeling with the different types of candy that starred in the show, I do at least know what people are talking about. There is also a Dagashi shop near where I live that I plan on visiting more often to try different things. Looking forward to a second season!

Well, I wasn’t exactly sure what this show was going to be like when I first put my name down to QC it, and each episode was a little stranger and more amusing than the last. However, it was definitely a super-fun show to QC, and it was a pleasure working with Doki’s staff also.
