Get yourself the WP plugin “Antispam Bee”.
Works fine (much better than stupid Akismet), and people don’t have to enter poorly readable text into annoying captchas.

It was always there for users who aren’t logged in. But now it’s also popping up for logged in users…
It’s to prevent bots from posting.
