Climbing mountains is hard.
Holo edit: As you guys have probably realised, half the anime-related sites are down due to a mass DDoS. However, we are completely unaffected because we run our own tracker. If anyone wants to use our tracker, feel free to do so. Everyone is welcome.
This is why monopolies are bad! One site goes down and both groups and leechers are affected. Too many eggs in one basket!
Hopefully Tokyo-Tosho will be up soon. As for the rest… ( ¬‿¬)

It sure looks hard.
P.S Thanks also for your hard efforts. It is much appreciated.
It sure is. Though it might be a good idea to at least go when the weather is nice lol. Always check those forecasts! 😛
Tall mountains don’t care about some petty forecasts.
True.
Thanks Doki. That OP is so addicting to listen to.
Thank you. Glad you are doing this show since it’s so hard to find elsewhere.
Yeah, speaking of hard to find, Crunchyroll is SUPPOSED to be airing this show as a simulcast. It’s not happening so I have to get it from you guys. It’s better this way anyway.
bookmarked TT. i just checked TT is still up
abd nice weather to climb xp
*and
Tokyo-Tosho is up now, just the http part (no ssl)
Looks like the DDoS is more or less limited to commie affiliated sites (both commie and the nyaa tracker are still down)
Might this be related to the Hanamonogatari mess between commie and DDY or it’s just me?
I think Japan realised that there are too many eggs in that one basket. Keeping that one server out of service keeps 3 major sites down.
Now now we all know you guys weren’t affected because your to awesome for that kind of childs play. lol anyways have fun and good luck guys and girls.
Thank you, team Doki, for the continuing releases of /Yama no Susume\.
@ Jocko
I can confirm that the crash in OP issue has been resolved. Thank you very much!
So it was that pesky line… I wonder what was the reason though.
It wasn’t really noticeable so I’ll just leave it out. I’m glad the crash is resolved.
If I were to guess, I would say that the width of the line might have been a factor. The line turned out to be wider than the video frame when it was rendered on my screen. Maybe it’s due to a combination of wide line + colour change, I don’t know.
Will you consider adjusting the OP for Ep03 ~ Ep07 in the batch release?
I’m not sure how patches and batches work but if its possible and not too much trouble for whoever has to patch it, I’ll do it.
Personally I found it a good time to catch up on some backlog, I managed to catch up with Aldnoah Zero and a few other things. My interest in P4G the Animation is dropping a fair bit.
One silly question:- why isn’t there any of the Doki’s releases in Nyaa’s list?
(just a bit curious, that’s all)
That topic’s been beaten to death already.
tl;dr: Doki was banned a few years ago because of the individual actions/supposed actions of a few ex-staff members. Said staff members were also in other groups, but the one group they had in common was Doki, so Doki was banned. Even though said ex-staff left Doki ages ago, Nyaa still won’t lift the ban.
ah, i see…
sorry, I’m just a bit newbie to this anime fansubbers n stuff so yeah, my mind’s kept bugging me to know why such things happened.
anyway, thanks for the info… it answered most of my questions in my head right now.
Despite me attempting to bury the hatchet with Nyaa a few months back, he choose to ignore me and keep us banned.
This question should be added to the FAQs, lol.
That’s a shame. Life’s too short to hold grudges, but you and your staff are successful without Nyaa, so that’s something.
Well times like these shine for Doki, Nyaa is down, a huge amount of groups are down, Doki however is running fine, nothing has changed, so really Doki come out best. As Rawr said, Doki do fine without Nyaa which actually is quite impressive when you think how most others depend on Nyaa
Based on my observation, not all of the fansubbers group are totally affected by it… and most of them are still able to provide their torrent link on their respective websites but using different tracker sites (not to mention XDCC too, even though I never tried it).
Sorry to say, but to think that a huge amount of groups are down because of Nyaa is not really acceptable.
> However, we are completely unaffected because we run our own tracker.
As if anyone understands what you’re talking about.
Actually, I’m pretty sure most of us do. :-/ If you’ve been downloading anime for a while, you definitely should know what they’re talking about.
If you didn’t understand, this is what I mean:
Most groups use Nyaa (a tracker), if Nyaa goes down, those groups are screwed.
We don’t use Nyaa, we use Anime-Index (our tracker), so even if Nyaa goes down, we are unaffected because our tracker is still up.
I’m guessing that what he means is that he doesn’t know what a tracker is. Google can fix that for him though.
@Holo
Are trackers necessary though? I thought they were only for keeping track of ratio on private sites and such. Couldn’t I make a torrent file myself and share it with my friends?
You should really start to read what the tracker is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_tracker
Just read at first paragraph of it. It should answer your question.
You could just go with straight DHT, but connectivity highly depends on firewall settings (which might need to be adjusted) and ISP routing (good luck changing that).
i know that it is out of the topic, but any update on mahouka?
i’ve been itching to watch your release. 😀
No news is usually good news.
Haha, this is what happen when the releases are centralized.
You know, usually “central” people are bad (like in Fullmetal Alchemist 😀 )
Holo using this fiasco as an excuse to speak out against the fansubbing cartel. nyaa still down last I checked, might as well keep at it. Damn the man, save piracy.
It’s alive again. Normality returns lol.
Doki saving fansubbing.
