Where praise is due:
“What would you call someone who watched every broadcast version of every episode by every fansub of Nichijou? Actually, I’d rather not know (I was interested in the technicals of this kind of novel storytelling).
That being said, Doki did the best job with this series. There’s about 30% more humor per episode on average because Doki translated lots more of the signs, book titles, etc. and included some short notes, like what “Selamat pagi” means in ep1.

Aside from our catastrophic “string” error in episode 1 and other translation issues early on (which have all since been fixed), this is very true.
Oh god yeah the string was quite egregious.
