Update: Reverted my fix of Alisa to Arisa back to Alisa, so Arisa who is Alisa who was Arisa is now Alisa. Hope that clears things up. Also a little bit earlier this week \o/
ArisaAlisa-chan confirmed as my favourite girl.
As usual 10bit 720 and 480 on Wednesday.

Thank you. 🙂
Thanks, right on time after watching Hyokka Ryouran for the 3rd time. ^^
Thanks Doki! Another overdose of black/blonde/loli incoming!
Silver and Red who?
Thank you so much!
Yeah. I’ve been waiting for this. Someone are going to like this episode because of Arashi… If you know what I mean. ^^
Look! She shows her “venomous” fangs!
So scary…
Thanks for the release! Now its time to have a marathon of anime(s)… 🙂
Thanks for the ep.
I noticed that Arisa’s name is spelled like Alisa in this episode.
Yes, it’s because we noticed on her room door it says Alisa.
Hence, we figure that’s the intended romanization and we switched it all.
We did, but I changed it back to Arisa after I looked it up in a few places and to keep consistency 😀
I find that quite common in anime, seen the Ls and Rs messed up by the creators in a few shows.
For example ‘Shalon Apple’ which is meant to be ‘Sharon Apple’ they even say ‘Sharon Apple’ in the Macross Frontier movie as they have someone speaking english in one scene, but when the name came up it said that.
Reminds me of http://i.imgur.com/9ZlD9.jpg
Oh lol, that is hilarious! XD
The same thing is done in real life as well of course: http://themavesite.com/TMS-Pictures/2012-11/2/MeanwhileInJapan.jpg XD
I think it’s a terrible idea to trust the Japanese to romanize L’s. Engrish shows up in anime all the time. Look at a recent episode of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun with the horrible Engrish on the whiteboard.
Personally, I’d’ve kept “Arisa” and told the Japanese to stop pretending to speak English. Oh well.
Guess we can make a final decision for the BDs.
I prefer Arisa as well but meh I’ll live either way. It’s not just the Rs and Ls though. I’ve them romanize mom as mam instead. Failed conversion to romaji.
True, romanisation is generally pretty random. As Japanese has no distinction between r/l and between sh/si, when romanising, they often pick one at random. I’ve seen a foto of a floor plan in a Japanese five-star-hotel (!) that said “shitting room” instead of “sitting room”, and no one seemed to care (I think that was on Engrish.com).
Thus, stick to “Arisa” as a transcription of the Hiragana.
Also, thanks for the subs! 😀
We should stick her name as “Arisa” because of Hiragana.
Except it’s katakana, so no, it should be “Alisa” like her name actually is.
Eh? The ありさ on her swimsuit is in hiragana. Don’t think I’ve seen it in katakana anywhere.
This episode actually had me rethink Anastasia. Going over her interactions with the other characters in my head while I was watching it, it started to dawn on me that there was only one explanation that really seemed to fit: Anya’s gay. Aside from the OP, all her ‘sexual’ interaction with Akito inevitably use him as the butt of a joke while Ginbei and Alisa clearly get her motor going in ways he never has. I wouldn’t be too terribly surprised if this wasn’t intentional on the author’s part, but I just love the way it(and the SC President’s bisexuality) plays holy hell with the harem dynamics.
Hole homosexual? It’s plausible but I think it has something to do with her liking cute things instead? I believe she said so herself maybe at episode 2 or 3? Plus all her many doll collections.
Anyone else getting subtitle flickering on the non-10-bit versions?
I haven’t watched this episode yet but the only time I get flicker on my system with subtitles is when my system has a performance issue. A properly installed/configured xy-vsfilter seems to solve most of these issues for me. (I install k-lite mega 32bit, then xy-vsfilter, then configure MPC-HC to prefer directvobsub.)
You could also try VLC, but it’s compatibility can be way worse at times. The current builds probably aren’t too bad though and it seems to have faster subtitles than some other options.
Last but not least – if its not a CPU performance issue it could be that DXVA/CUDA or some other GPU hardware acceleration is turned on for 8-bit video (it doesn’t work with 10-bit so its always off for that.) properly disabling that in your media player/codec pack options may help.
You could try Pot Player (the mini version is what I use) with xy-vsfilter & lav video decoding.
Thanks! 😀
Superior version of the ED song:

You can tell 80% of the animation budget went into the 10 seconds between 20:27-20:37.
Ana sure knows her lolicon fetishes! She makes me proud.
Thanks for the early 10-bit release!
I want Chibi Devi! please 😀
Thanks for the episode! I was watching this episode on my pocket player and I have seen subs with comments from editors They were so hilarious 😀
Still waiting for Episode 9…
