Few volumes to go… Thanks for the release! 🙂

Thanks, still waiting for the next episode of K though.

Yeah, asking for a huge spoiler, but tired of shows that cliffhang relationships,

Do our two protagonist resolve their love affair in any sort of conclusive way? Marriage? Boy/Girl Friend? Or even just saying, “Fuck it, we’ll only be friends?”

Gotten to the point that even great shows aren’t worth watching anymore because of the never-ending relationship clusterfuck.

    Best,
    Onii-chan

Thanks, you’re doing these quite quickly now it seems.

How Japanese otaku afford (and are willing) to buy their anime is beyond me…2-3 episodes per volume at sky-high prices as the norm is really brutal…In the U.S and Europe a 24 episode series would be released in like 2 volumes right? And each volume would be cheaper than one in Japan…

Indeed, to think for the price of one anime Blu Ray, you could get a ton of TV boxsets for the same price. May not be anime but just as good. Ended up buying a few TV shows from Amazon.com today because of their Black Friday sale lol

22 episodes of Bones (Season 1) for $7.99 vs 3 episodes of super expensive Japanese anime on Blu Ray for $70-80. I think I got value in my first choice 😛

Their desire are just too high. Forgive them.

Joke aside. Did u know that a typical 30 minutes tv episode costs 10 milions yen? And because japanese are their main market, to support it, they need to increase its price since most animes weren’t intended for mainstream viewers (ex. late-night shows like Oniai, Sakurasou, and many moe shows)

Well, Naruto DVDs usually contains 5-6 eps each disc. Compare it to typical 12 / 24 eps animes. Each dics only contain 2 or even 1 eps! Its purpose to make profit. Well, in the past, the few thousand fans that bought anime DVDs were supporting nearly the entire budget of a show.

    Just imagine it.

Are you sure it’s 10 million yen Index? I thought in some cases it was much cheaper, depending on the studio too. Some animation studios have varying degrees of animation quality which makes it easier to spot a low budget show from one with an actual budget.

Just googled it briefly, wow. After seeing a lot of reports of instances of artists/animators etc being paid badly at some studios I thought it was cheaper to produce, then I saw that in some cases it can cost as much as 20 million yen an episode. Incredible..
