i stopped watching it at ep 2 because of the laser beams, but still thanks for doing this series.

  • We can look forward to the BDs, at least.

  • shogoki_vnz

    To LOVE-Ru lightness

  • Geese1

    Thanks for the episode!

  • I still wonder what’s the point in showing this in TV and censoring it so heavy (even the AT-X station had it censored and that never happened before)…

  • Ero_Yatsu

Yeah, until the Blu-Rays. Then, it’ll be To LOVE-Ru HNNNNGGGH!

    To Rove-Rightbeams

    • Rawr

      LOL Perfect Zdm.

I was trying to think of something to add to the wordplay but wow you just nailed it perfectly.

Not following this show but lol, that was better than my effort, all I could come up with is ‘To Lightbeams Love Ru’ or ‘To Love Lightru beams’ =/

  • SomeDudeOnTheNet

I’m seriously considering just waiting for the BDs. It’s not like this show has enough content to have that much re-watch value aside from getting rid of the censoring.

What makes me laugh though are the parts that they forget to censor, some of which are probably more revealing than many of the parts that do get censored.

See a Nana ep and jumps up 3% in the polls

  • Needs more Momo! She’s my favorite character on this show after all 🙂

  • Rokudaime

The lightbeams doesn’t matter to me, since I always wait for BD batches before I watch a show anyway. ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌ I don’t watch TV releases unless that’s all there is, and there is no sign of any DVD/BD versions ever coming out.

    • Lucidity

So you already gave up, huh? ( ¬‿¬)

    • Rokudaime

Don’t know what you guys are on about, I haven’t given up, I’m just waiting for the BD’s. 😛 Like I do for ALL shows. Like I said, I don’t watch TV releases unless I have no other choice, meaning the only cases where I DO watch TV releases are when there is no sign of any DVD/BD versions ever coming out.

Just figured I’d answer in advance before anyone asks “why?”: I’m just very patient, and have a big backlog, so I almost never feel any need to watch series while they are airing. I prefer to watch all the episodes of a show in one go, and in the best quality, and with no censors. Oh, and the thought of not watching To Love-Ru (especially Darkness) has never even passed my mind, so you guys are way off there. ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌

I am the same way I wait for BD batches or batches of TV that aren’t going to lose anything due to censorship or less than the best Quality….like slice of life Anime example Usagi Drop, I just waited for the batches. I like watching my anime without having to wait a week(or sometimes two if Japan Airs a special event or some other reason for it not to air.) between episodes….I just noticed something. We are both impatiently patient…if that makes sense. We don’t want to wait a week for episodes but we will wait for BD releases or Batches….

Side note: I will post this on the forum, and if it is bad form to post this here I apologize.

Is there a Doki group on steam? I will save the PSN question for the forums because I already flood these threads when I am on them because I have to reply to everyone who replies to me….even if it is just to say Thanks, even though I think we all have an implied thanks when someone answers a questions, because all of us here at Doki are Awesome….except that one anal retentive douche-nozzle who was being a little bitch about patches….

          • Rokudaime

Well, you’re a little bit mistaken there I’m afraid, since I don’t really care about having to wait a week, or a month, before I can watch a series. I have 300 series in my backlog anyway, so it makes no difference. The ONLY series I’m super-excited about watching in BD, and that I’m going crazy from having to wait for, is Fate/Zero (I have the S1 BD’s from UTW, but I’m waiting for them to finish S2 BD’s as well, so I can watch the whole thing). And the only show I’m watching weekly TV releases of is Naruto Shippuuden.

I do get impatient when I have to wait several months, half a year, or a year though…At least for series I’m trying to archive.

And yes, Doki does have a Steam group. ; ) http://steamcommunity.com/groups/doki

About the fact that you feel the need to reply to everyone that replies to you btw: I believe Clannad man has the same kind of thinking. 😛 I have it to some degree as well, but not quite that extreme. Replying to everything that does not need it is kind of over the top, and not everything is suited for a reply either. If you overdo it, it just makes it look like you’re the type that has to have the last word in any conversation, so your good intentions might backfire on you. 😉

          • Null_Shock

            Thanks regarding the Steam Information.

As for replying yea I can see how it could be misinterpreted as me being an ass, but I don’t reply to EVERYTHING….like your typo correction, rather pointless to reply to that especially without sounding like a sarcastic asshole?

It’s likely we’re not in the same horizon. Waiting till batch comes out will cause series become backlog to me, and believe me, even i have some series that I haven’t watch for more than 4 years >_>

          • Null_Shock

I think it is safe to say that a lot of us on here have rather massive backlogs, my impatience causes backlogs in other areas…you should see my backlog of video games, I could not buy single game for the next 2 years and still not have to worry about replaying any video games…hell my backlog goes all the way back to the PS1 era. The impatience is that I have to won the game the moment it comes out, usually because of pre-order exclusives or limited editions. NIS fans (Disgaea series, Atelier series, ETC ETC) if you are willing to spend a little more on the limited editions you get a hell of a lot more than GameStop’s pre-orders, and at NISA online you don’t always have to Pre-order. Example the Disgaea 4 limited edition with soundtrack, art-book and complete figure set. $125 GameStop $60 pre-order only get Fuka’s figure and I think the Art-book and Soundtrack. Most of you may have already known this, but I though I would share my knowledge anyway. Also Importing from Japan while VERY expensive they get some of the coolest extras bundled in to even standard editions. I will give a warning though….because of my OCD that causes e to buy these I am broke most of the time….and luckily I have a very understanding woman who has pre-orderd limited edition sets of games for me before I could….She is awesome….and cute. Win Win. Sorry it is late here and my medicine is making me ramble on about nonsense and I feel a little….フワフワ (fuwafuwa)(¬‿¬).

          • Rokudaime

            @Null_Shock
Same here, I have over a 100 games in my backlog, so even if I quit studying and working, I would still have enough to keep me going for years. 😉

          • Null_Shock

@Rokudaime Do you have a PSN account? I am alway’s looking to add people I can co-op with….been wanting to beat RE5 since I bought it, but it isn’t as fun with the AI. . .

          • Rokudaime

            @Null_Shock
Sorry man, but I virtually don’t play online at all, only local LAN or multiplayer with my friends. Got more than enough with getting through everything I have, and if I were to play online as well, I’d never make any progress. 😛 I also don’t add people I occasionally meet online (or people who send me invites) to my Friends list on the PS3 (in the rare occasion that I try any online play). I keep that one reserved for my friends that I have met and actually know in real life, otherwise it would just fill up. 😉

  • Elvin21

  • Zdm321

What I watched: To Love-Ru Darkness
    What I got: To Love-Ru Brightness/Lightness

  • ufo

We already had anime with “black holes” censoring everything. Would be more befitting for a show with darkness in its name, but it was way worse looking than light beams I’d say. So yeah. Be happy, it’s only light beams I guess? And not black holes or way too big bats.
