It’s great Doki picked up so many shows, but 720P 10-bit re-encodes of everything and leaving 480P as the 8-bit sucks.
It’d be better to save the 10-bit encodes for Blu-Rays or something, and stick to 8-bit for the TV releases.
Not that Chihiro would go along with that, anyway.

I blame Chihiro for not releasing 720p XviD FLAC upscaled from a webstream. Obviously the encoder should bend to my wishes and encode things in whatever way I want.
I mean, what else am I paying them for?

So hey, I downloaded a release using XDCC today. My first time ever doing that. Learned how to use IRC just a few days ago. ; )
Speeds better than torrents?
For me the answer to that question is: it depends. With good seeders, torrents blow XDCC away. Sometimes, though (and of course it depends on the bandwidth of the bot), you can get better speeds with XDCC.
At least u can depend on XDCC when the seeder is too few. Ohh, higher value of queue and capped speed is important too.
One thing that I hate, when people set their bot’s minimum speed too low. my slowfuck connection was rejected by them.
Doki bots are set on default. Have you had a problem with it?
Nope. No prob with yours. I had that kind of problem with another group’s bot. He refused to raise it, though.

Btw, Holo, about those 3 links you have on the FAQ page on how to download files using IRC; I felt the second and third link were rather superfluos, especially the second. You really have evrything you need in that tutorial from the first link (I read through all of all 3).
well, the easiest way to download is using command @find and the bot will message you about the command and pack number

The only reason why we couldn’t keep up before was TLs disappearing. Technically we have enough staff to do 10+ shows, but the risk of TLs disappearing is greater.
I guess I didn’t think about that. A lot of other groups have had that happen as well, it really screws the process up.

I am still waiting for Lucky Star and Haruhi-chan though.
