We’ve given it the full 1080p treatment, because it’s one of the best upscales we’ve seen. Other companies need to ask these guys how it’s done.

I joined Doki about 2 weeks after BTN formed.
Oh I thought you were here longer than that Dys, that said I never really paid attention to the staff list that much, as people came and went, pretty much spoke exclusively on the cbox before commenting elsewhere.

Well, DL the 1080 and judge for yourself.
It’s sure as hell not “aliased as all fuck” not unless they’re idiots employing sharpening on their videos.
There may be a little aliasing, but we’ve not seen a better job of upscaling non-HD anime in the past. So we were damn impressed.
If in doubt, click the release pic and find yourself some aliasing.
If I lean in and look carefully there is a little…but nothing like the practically bilinear scaling found in some bluray releases. I’m getting both 720p and 1080p just to see for myself anyway.

FileSonic has discontinued its sharing functionality as well. So don’t bother trying to use them. I just found this out try to download from a different site. I just cancelled my subscription with FileSonic. No need to pay them good money for a service they no longer provide.

Hi10P in 720P? Seesh. 720P needs to be 8-bit.
Otherwise I’d check it out just to see about the quality, but sometimes super-high quality makes it look more artificial.
lol, you’re watching ANIME, it IS artificial. It’s animated on COMPUTERS.
720p needs to be whatever the hell we decide it is.
It loses something when the “quality” is such that you can see how it was done. Live action has this problem too, sometimes films in 1080p wind up looking like home videos, or you can see the makeup they used.
720p needs to be 8-bit, and 8-bit only. All the 10-bit fanboys are going to be DL’ing the 10-bit 1080p, the only thing releasing 720p in 10-bit does is make the 480p the only option for everyone else.
Slightly smoother colours don’t really mean “It loses something when the “quality” is such that you can see how it was done.” That is quite possibly the worst excuse for not using 10bit i’ve seen yet.
Sounds more like you either can’t play 10bit or you want 8 bit for streaming purposes.
I can see where this person is coming from. I used to be able to play the 720p releases on my phone (960×800 screen) and netbook. Luckily my new laptop can handle even Iblard Jikan so I’ve started grabbing the 1080p and making my own downscales on demand for traveling.
It’s not fair that this anime is only 2 episodes long… I want more. MOAR!!!

Totally worth downloading a third time…got to blow someone’s mind with this show again.
Was bored and looking for something to watch for 1-2hrs before going to bed, and totally forgot that I had downloaded this. Holy shit balls this was good. Only thing im slightly disappointed in is that its only 2 episodes long.
I approve of all the comments that said this short original video animation was good. Furthermore, I agreed the 1080p, despite the fact that it’s an upscale source, was done really well.
