Nice. This show is good but isn’t comparable to Guilty Crown. And about the first episode, did everyone see Inga in the panda spirithood? I almost fell over in surprise.

Dunno if it’s bcause of the VLC, but especially when they introduce the characters I don’t get any subtitles and partly when they talk in front of the grave/
What VLC version are you using ? It plays perfectly on my VLC.

VLC is super lame. Use CCCP with MPC.
All my checks for subs, styles, TS, etc are with that as my test player/codecs. I don’t even have VLC installed so I’ll never check to see if stuff is supported or displayed correctly by it.
Version 0.9.10 Grishenko (Intel) is what I’m using. As I’m running Mac OSX 10.4 I can’t use CCCP and I can’t use newer versions of VLC due to incompatibly with OS Version. ;; So, yeah it seems it’s totaly my fault. Maybe i should really change to Ubuntu. ><

Hmm… I tried building mplayer a few years back, I never got it to work without errors, that’s why I switched to VLC, maybe now it’s time to try it again. 🙂
Cool the MPlayer OSX Extended rv11 (the mplayer2 seems to be running on 64bit and has trouble with the cpu) seems to be working without trouble on my good old MacBook and features the missing subtitle lines

Ktiming is “Karaoke Timing”! It’s the timing/subbing process groups use for the opening and ending songs.

My anime knowledge leaves a lot to be desired this season lol, am trying to follow stuff you guys at Doki are doing anyway, such as Shana, and Persona 4. Fate/Zero and Last Exile I got from elsewhere, sorry for being unfaithful lol

This show is pretty nice so far; great art style, with the same director as the first Full Metal Alchemist anime. I’m expecting the story to develop nicely once it gets past the introductory stages!

In reply to Thaerin’s query… No, I’m not loving this show… Yet. It’s obviously still in its Mystery-of-the-Week phase, a pretty annoying format but I suppose it’s to introduce the ensemble cast gradually. There’s obviously a ton of backstory here and they’ll delve into that once the main arc kicks in. I’d hope so, anyway.
As for Inga, I can’t frikkin’ stand that brat >.<
I agree that it’s still in that phase: I’m holding out extreme hope for it to just freaking explode at some point.
The part that keeps my hopes up is that they’re focusing heavily on the “conspiracy” factor after each case is solved.
