As some of you may or may not be aware, Doki is celebrating it’s second anniversary today. Two years ago, on the 11th of October, Holo made the very first post on the Doki blog. To commemorate this, we’ve put together something extra special.
As you know, many of us here at Doki are massive keyfags. Myself and Holo included. So we’ve decided to release Angel Beats, the one remaining Key anime we had not yet released, in grand style. With 480p, 720p and 1080p in 8-bit and 720p and 1080p in 10-bit.
But wait, there’s more!
One of us also happens to own the Girls Dead Monster discography, so included in this big release are FLAC and MP3 torrents for both of those. One of our translators, Thaerin, has taken the time to translate every single song for you, so each file comes with a lyrics sheet containing kanji, romaji and English. We also decided to fansub and karaoke the bonus DVD that came with Ichiban no Takaramono, so you’ll find the PV’s at the bottom, along with XDCC links for the OP/ED single.
Lastly, we’d like to thank all our downloaders for sticking with us through the last 2 years, as well as everyone we’ve picked up along the way. We hope to continue bringing you the best quality anime we know how for as long as possible.

Is the 1080p version an upscale from 720p?
Depends on what you’re asking. We encoded from the BD source, which is 1080p. The studio may or may not have upscaled the video. I don’t think it’s an upscale though, if I recall correctly.

In the first line of the OP romanji i keep reading “Mezamete ha kurikaesu nemui asa ha” but i actually hear “wa”,I know that both are actually correct but it feels better as “Mezamete wa kurikaesu nemui asa wa”.In the official wiki of Angel Beats( http://angelbeats.wikia.com/wiki/My_Soul,_Your_Beats ) it is actually “wa”.I don’t know but it seems strange to me!

I’m using CCCP, and the karaoke in the opening flickers, which it doesn’t do in vlc. Is that how it’s supposed to be?
If you are using xy-vsfilter, it should play smoothly. Why don’t you try klite codec pack?
I’ve tried using xy-vsfilter, xysubfilter, and K-lite codec pack. Angel’s beat’s opening is the only one that starts to flicker when it plays. Although it plays smoothly with Mpc’s ISR. Are there some settings I can play with to fix it?
When you are installing klite, uncheck “use internal subtitle renderer”. Then try playing?
That’s the problem, Directvobsub seems to be causing the problem, but it renders properly with the internal subtitle remderer, but if I use mpc’s ISR; heavy typesetting wouldn’t show properly. It seems to be playing properly for everyone else, so I’m guessing it’s at my end.
