I only realized now that this anime has 26 episodes.
Now this is really crazy. It’s plot-less, there is nothing much to tell. They should be able to make Mom and Grandma be good to each other once again, Ohana replied to Kou-chan confession, and wrap it up in one episode.
There are a lot of anime this season that can be made into 26 episodes instead. *cough* Hidan no Aria *cough*
Hmm.. I have seen this username before…
Lol could you be the same person who posted at Ryugan’s site 2 weeks ago?
If so, just now I visited their site and was reading their updates and saw your name there. For about 15 minutes ago lol.
Yep that would be me ^ ^. I think I wrote on there blog weeks ago and haven’t checked back there since then lol. I just hope this translator sticks bc I adore this show!
lol I know that I was saying that because “Once the monthly target of $85 is achieved, the donation button will be removed until the next month.” and because its always achieved so fast I’ve never seen the donation button. π
6:53, “tokkuni” translated by Doki as “not really.”
Should be “for a long time” or something a long those lines. I’m surprised your TL managed to miss this, as I could put in “tokkuni” in jisho.org and get a pretty good replacement phrase…
As my Japanese teacher said, many native speakers of Japanese take the lazy way out and leave off the most important part of the sentence.
To me, at least, it sounds like the conversation went:
“Shitteru?” -> Do you know much about (it)?”
“Toku ni…” -> No, nothing in particular.
In this case “Not really.” is a shorter way of putting “No, nothing in particular.” in the same way that “Toku ni…” is a shorter way of saying “Toku ni nanimo.”
“Tokkuni” -> “For a long time” doesn’t make sense contextual-wise.
I’ll check again, but to translate “toku ni” by itself as “not really” is still incorrect. To use “toku ni” by itself is already strange and awkward. If she had said “toku ni nanimo” meaning, “Nothing specific” then I’d accept a translation of “not really.” In other words, she needs a negative to accompany the “toku ni” for it to mean the way Doki translated.
But, I’m pretty sure I heard “tokkuni” as the distinction is pretty clear, and it makes a lot more sense in that context. I’ll redownload the episode and check again later.
Bonboru is a coinage that’s explained in the show, there’s no need to translate it, especially not to “being frank” which strikes me as missing a lot of the meaning.
Oh yeah! Thank you. First! π
theres a spelling mistake at 11:47
“may i have the use of your kitchen for a shirt while” lol
God dammit. My fault. I take the blame. I must have typo’d when rewriting the line.
Dialogue: 0:16:47.21,0:16:52.24: You can be part /of/ Kou-chan’s everyday life again.
π
Huzzah, thanks for the release.
Is next week expected to be late as well? Not criticizing, just curious.
Next week is expected on Monday.
Thank you so much for this. I just happened to come and check if anything had been released and there it was. Really thanks.
Thanks! Any status on Ro-Kyu-Bu! ??
It’s waiting on QC so it should be out soon π
YEEESSSSSSSSS, i can’t wait for this show! =D
I am following everything on top left side for Summer’11.
Just saw BLOOD-C webraw. And it is going to be win. No.6 and Usagi Drop are guaranteed for being two great shows.
TL issues? Wat?

“Can I use your kitchen for a Shirt while?” Made me laugh^_^
I like series like this – my favourites are Marimite and Aria (not HnoA. Didn’t like that for some reason.)
That said, I’m hoping for a second season of Ore no Imouto – maybe that should be Ore no Kouhai.
Thanks for this series – it’s been more interesting that I first thought.
JBV^_^
>> Ore no Kouhai
Fuck no. Ore no Imouto S2 should purely be about Kirino.
no. it has to be mai Ayase! (οΎ `ΠΒ΄)οΎ ~β»ββ»
Thanks for the episode… sorry to hear that you’re having translator issues… HERE’S HOPING THIS ONE’S A KEEPER! HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
Such a good episode~ Thank! π
Btw, I’ve been coming to this site the past 2 months (daily) and I haven’t seen the donation button yet XD
http://doki.co/donations/
it’s on the bar between “staff” and “shop”
I’ve seen it yesterday, someone made a 100$ donation live when I was there π
The donation button is removed from the main page whenever we reach our intended monthly goal.
lol I know that I was saying that because “Once the monthly target of $85 is achieved, the donation button will be removed until the next month.” and because its always achieved so fast I’ve never seen the donation button. π
Lol if you look at the page’s HTML, you can see the hidden donation link… Someone did and donated even after the button was removed lol
Brave Stare Ohana
I hope this one’s gonna go to normal (subbing) operations soon… Thanks again! BTW, how’s Aria & Denpa?
Thanks for the release!

You sure it wasn’t “toku ni”?
Which my sources tell me means something along the lines of “particularly”.
The affirmative version of betsu ni, when placed in the right sentence, can be translated in the same way.
It was definitely “Toku ni”.
As my Japanese teacher said, many native speakers of Japanese take the lazy way out and leave off the most important part of the sentence.

I know it’s just double posting, but i just wana share my thoughts.
“may i have the use of your kitchen for a shirt while”
Think it could be best Tl’ed in “…for a moment”
Kyon the Nitpicking King is at it again.
Bonboru is a coinage that’s explained in the show, there’s no need to translate it, especially not to “being frank” which strikes me as missing a lot of the meaning.
that episode had some really sweet moments
Guess I’m too late to download this.. since it says “torrent Can’t be found” T.T
Use XDCC.
