just love you guys *___*
i hoped that you would do the madoka BDs ^_^
Huh. The sound is messed up in episode 2? Did they know it was messed up and still went on and release the Blu-ray?
Someone didn’t QC, lol. Why they were fucking about with the audio in the first place is anyone’s guess. They have announced a v2, so to speak, we’re waiting on that.

“There was a mistake in the dialogue of the second episode (at the timecode 29:21-29:22)”
Do you know what this is exactly?
made my day was waiting to see who do the bd’s for this show
Who is Yesy?

How you chose which subs to use, when you found a little random show laying around? 🙂 Cause I never heard about yesy until today, are they better than nutbladder?
yesy is supposed to have the best subs for madoka^^
imo yesy has the best subs, therefore doki made a good choice =D
Yesy’s rediculous. They’re a bunch of perfectionists that somehow also work fairly fast. They still are refusing to release the two last episodes for now because there’s some aftershock warning overlays. I’m just saddened that there aren’t any other good groups (at least from what I’ve seen) doing the TV episodes. They’ve set up the finale for this rather well.
It’s weird you hadn’t heard yesy though, but well yesy it’s always took a lot of time to release so a lot of people took other FS release than waiting for them. Hope they’re finishing the last 2 episode translation or Doki could be drop it & that’s the last thing I wann hear of course….
I guess I haven’t heard of them cause they completed only 6 TV series (including madoka).
They posted an update in their forums saying that the TL is done, but they’re waiting for a decent raw.
I am glad Doki is taking Yesy’s. gg’s ones are full of mistranslations and improvisations.

MORNING RESCUE~~~
I suppose Doki can actually tell when a sub group takes their work seriously and actually translates everything the characters say as accurately as possible. Yesy FTW, Doki FTW and down with the group who shall not be named. (Hint: The group’s name consists of a single letter that repeats.)
Must be new into anime. I have followed yesy since Utawarerumono (2006). They had been one of the best fansubbers during that time. And they made a return with Madoka recently.
Was not into anime in 2006. Watched Utawarerumono only in 2009, I think, when THORA released it.
LOL some random show. Oh youuuuuuuuu
yay! YesY subs!
Glad you’re willing to do this BD. I see you’re using yesy translation, but isn’t yesy hasn’t complete the entire series yet? (11-12 hasn’t been translated). Well anyway, the last volume contain those episode would be release in September & yesy should complete the series before that (hope so). If you’re looking for another translation, Nutbladder maybe looking just fine than gg. I could give you the script If you want it.
Anyway, thanks a lot for releasing this & Ganbatte with the other BD project (specially with Qwaser^^;)
Excellent. Thank god you are using yesy’s subs. gg & Nutbladder are fail in so many departments.
Can’t wait to rewatch this complete with all of SHAFT’s blu-ray changes.
Yesy was a good choice.
Time to see Mami’s newly decorated house. lol Good job, Doki.
¡I L.O.V.E U DOKI!
My favorite show of the season in BD God like quality *,*!
Can’t wait to see the end in all it’s glory.
/人◕ ◡◡ ◕人 Mahou Shoujo Desu~
I didn’t expect you guys to do the BDs.
So much thanks :3
1080p file seems to be corrupted: actual CRC (376d0d4b) differs from the one in filename (61825630)…
How odd. There is no corruption, my CRC is now also 376D0D4B
the torrent and XDCC still 61825630, though….now i don’t know which one is the exact CRC D:
Eww FLAC
Wow, according to what everyone is saying, it seems like yesy really is the best choice. That sorta surprises me, because I remember trying their Mai-Hime and Mai-Otome releases a long time ago and not liking them at all. It’s been quite a while since then though, hasn’t it? lol So, after 6 years, I guess it’s time to give them a shot again! Thanks, Doki!
Yes yesi’s sub for madoka is the best one around. I’m glad doki is doing the blu-rays for this but please don’t overwork yourselves.
http://doki.co/staff/
that’s a lot of names lol.
WTF, how did you manage to get so many staff member?! Impressive. 🙂
I got some problems playing the 1080p file with audio dropouts, which is a first for me. The PC hardware is not the problem, so I guess I’ll try some newer codec pack or something.
Okay, VLC Player is fine, while I am getting sound asynch and drop out problem with Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic. Guess I’ll stick with VLC player for the Madoka BD release.
VLC? uhhh…it’s just…
newer codec like CCCP is better, actually…. 😐
Thank you for this!
Could you make the commentary track available as a separate file, please?
Yahoo.. thanks for the release. I hope you’ll do the entire series. Apparently it’s well shafted after the tv broadcast so..
Why would we not do the entire series lol.
I always felt that Chihiro’s subs were better.
Chihiro should be doing their own BD releases.
Lol @ folks saying yay to yesy when they’re fairly sub-standard.
gg translated this show pretty well. Hell, even CHIHIRO subbed it better.
And they’re chihiro.
gg? seriously? NO! yesy is way better than gg…
People who say that gg can translate don’t know a thing about Japanese. Many of us fans who actually know Japanese still require subtitles as some sort of training wheels. Even if we know about 70 percent of what is being said, it’s good to have a guide when you are learning. When a subgroup translates things inaccurately, it is very frustrating as you know that what is being said is not conveyed properly to the non-Japanese speaking audience.
Some people like gg, who likes to troll and add unnecessary humor and whatnot, but as an aspiring translator myself, I believe that a show should be enjoyed for its own merits and not for the subtitles.
For those curious about the audio mistake in Episode 2:

A replacement program has already started, but the official site says that replacements won’t start shipping till late May :S
I see they have started a replacement program; however, I have a feeling getting this done as a foreigner is going to be excessively difficult…
http://www.madoka-magica.com/news/information.html
From what I can tell it doesn’t look like they will be likely to do this replacement for international buyers.
You never failed us. :)) Thanks Doki!! And I hope your venture on visual Novel( I really wnt to play tomoyo after) will be a success! I’ll try to help, as one of the testers<- yeah off topic but what the heck.
Oh yeah, that’s right, Chihiro should be doing BD releases as well. Any types of improvements to the BD? If anything hasn’t really changed, I’ll probably just watch the TV version.

Lots of changes as you can see.
A lot of the scenes have been revisited.
More detail added, mami’s house especially, more elaborate fence patterns, bridge art and generally more vibrant colours also come to mind.

Check out link for comparisons between TV and BD.
Yes, the BD has huge changes. After watching it last night it really is almost graphically a new anime. One of my favorite parts is they made a lot of the fences and backgrounds a lot more mischievous/dark. I’m excited to see what they will end up having for the rest.
Also, thanks Zdm321 for that; as I’m only partly good with Japanese I didn’t catch this and was surprised when I saw the reason you haven’t released ep2 yet. It’s still a mile sized improvement over the TV…
