Seikon no Qwaser - BD 12

We will aim to finish season 1 before spring.

So Dmon told me he actually retranslated all the eps, because our TV release was that bad, so I’m going to be tagging all releases [Doki]. You can rename the files yourself, CRC is not affected. No patching required.

And the semi-batch as promised.

  • I assume that you guys will release a final batch of this later?

    o_O

So what’s the point of releasing a “semi” batch?

    • Zdm321

No, we are not going to release a final batch. < /sarcasm>

The point of a semi-batch? Episodes 1-7 torrent links are dead because they were originally posted on Anirena, which no longer exists.

Is the 720p fileserve link for episode 1 not working for anybody? It always ends up with “File not found” after clicking the download button. I’ve wasted quite a few downloads trying again, but still to no avail. Was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

    • sm2345

      Works perfectly, just checked.

      • Otaku_King

I guess I’m the only one it doesn’t work for then. I even used JDownloader just now. The countdown will get to 00 after entering the captcha and then it sticks at 00 followed by a “no internet connection” error. When my connection works just fine (I was downloading another file at the time). The other files I downloaded of Seikon work fine, its just ep.1 that keeps screwing me over. Dunno if the file had an error during the upload process and fileserve can’t locate it or what.

I guess I have to resort to the torrent for ep.1 only. Thanks Doki for the other DDL’s, file hosts are my preferred download method, torrents being a last resort. Keep up the great work.

    Nice work on this!
It’s a great show, nice subs and all, but there’s one thing I have noticed: In Episode #11, in the Intro, there’s “Disqualifizierend” written onto the wall. It’s typeset as “disqualified”, but actually, it is German for “disqualifying”. I just re-checked that using Google Translator, so I’m sure it’s correct. If I spot anything similar to this, I’ll probably post again.
Once again, nice work on this series. I very much appreciate it.

    • DmonHiro

Yeah, but we though that “disqualifying” wouldn’t make much sense, especially since Eva says it quite a few times, in Japanese. Just chalk it up to bad German by the Japanese, like Eva saying “gutten Tag” instead of “guten Abend”. It was evening.

  • Name (I'm not very creative here)

I noticed that in Episode #12, at around 12:10 – 12:12, “Guten Tag” (German) is translated as “Good evening”, which would be “Guten Abend”. “Good day” would be a more accurate translation, but according to Google Translator (I once again re-checked this, as my German isn’t perfect), “Good afternoon”, “Hello” and even “How do you do” are possible.

Referring to previous comment: Aren’t you being a little picky here? She’s dead, so, in context, past tense makes more sense.

Referring to this comment: Our timer (masat) is native German and pointed out that the time is in the evening, so, “Good evening” makes more sense than “Good afternoon”.

    • DmonHiro

Again, that’s mostly a mistake on the Japanese front. It was evening, and any true German would have said “gutten Abend”, not “gutten Tag”. Remember, the Japanese don’t do so good with other languages in anime.

  • Name (I'm not very creative here)

Sorry, I didn’t mean to be picky or something. If masat is natively German, I can’t compete, anyway, so please ignore the previous two comments then.
Once again, your work on this is very much appreciated!

    First episode 03:35
    Missing second quote?

  • Phil

Thanks for fine BD-rip (720p). But! FLAC-sound is stopped in 1-5 series (6-12 are all right 🙂 )! Why? Last MadFlac (1.10) is not so good?
