A fansub group that subbed Air back in the day (they used TV rips though, which, of course, aren’t as good as Doki’s BD Rips)

I want to confirm something… Let’s assume a BD comes out which is supposedly 1080p, but then people watch it and say “hey, it’s a terrible upscale” and a random subbing group, let’s say Doki, decides to work on the files and eventually makes them gorgeously-looking 720p. So does that mean Doki’s encoded files look better than when you play the original Blue-Ray Disc?
That’s for you to decide. It was our choice to give you 720p for Air only since we thought the 1080p upscale would look terrible. But in the end, it’s up to you to decide. ^_^
