He’s doing it on purpose Dys. “Rite” is a slang form of “right” that is used mostly on the internet, though it’s not as common as many others. “Amirite?” instead of “Am I right?” is another one, which is a bit more common.

I’m not the type of person to complain a lot, but the grammar and typing in this episode is absolutely horrendous. Please, consider making a version two in the future. I understand one or two mistakes, but this episode is full of tons of mistakes.

Right, what you’ve mentioned here are TWO errors. Which I would not describe as being FULL of errors. The third one is entirely as intended, and if you can’t understand it, that’s really not our problem.

Personally, I don’t mind minor mistakes like these. It’s not like it spoils your viewing experience. You’re clearly competent enough in English to understand the text despite its errors, thus negating your reason to complain.
If the stray typos bother you that much, you can demux the file, modify the script to your liking, and then remux it. It takes around five to ten minutes, and you don’t even need to use Aegisub to edit the script.
I’m not trying to be mean; I’m just pointing out that this isn’t something that’s out of your control.
Yet another guy who takes it for granted that most of us commoners know how to demux and remix a file, and use Aegisub. I’m so sick of you people. Get it through your heads: Knowing anything about encoding is not the norm. It’s more normal for people that don’t work on fansubbing NOT to know anything about it. I’l tell you right now I haven’t the faintest idea how to do anything of what you just said, and I bearly even know what Aegisub IS.
I didn’t know anything about demuxing/remuxing before I started watching anime, which was around 6 months ago. I still hardly know anything about the entire process. But, instead of posting about how I don’t have any knowledge of these things, I’ve done some Googling and learnt the very basics on my own.
If you bothered to read my post properly, I said that you DON’T need to use Aegisub, illustrating how simple it is to fix minor errors like typos or grammatical fallacies. You just open the .ass/.ssa file on Notepad [yes, Microsoft’s very own, very simple-to-use Notepad], and do a little bit of typing. Nothing more to it.
I don’t want to badmouth even a generalized group of people, but the fact of the matter is that a lot of you are very lazy. I’ve seen comments that decry an entire fansub, because the translator used “Pride of the Sun” instead of “The Sun’s Pride”. This isn’t a randomly-generated example; I have actually seen this exact comment before. You just take for granted all this stuff that you’re getting for free. Learn more about it, and fix the minor mistakes yourself. There’s nothing stopping you from doing so, except your belief that everything a fansubber delivers to you should be the very epitome of perfection. Go ahead and complain if the file is broken, after you’ve checked if you’re running the correct software. Go ahead and complain if the audio and video don’t sync, after checking if your hardware is capable of running it in the first place. But, please don’t complain about a silly textual error or two. Tell people about those errors, and leave it at that. Don’t include your personal thoughts regarding how you feel about said errors.
Hey now, don’t lump me together with people like that, because that’s just not fair. I don’t have a habit of complaining about such things, and small textual errors that don’t really matter are often something I won’t even notice, and if I do, I’l ignore them since they’re small and insignificant. The fansub groups I use will usually find and fix these errors before I even notice them (I actively search out the best fansub for each show), so there’s no need for me to try and do anything about them. My point is just that I’m so tired of all the people that take for granted that everyone else knows how to do these things, and your case is minor. I’ve seen many people talk about much more complicated processes and expecting every random person to know what they’re talking about. However, using your claim as an example, opening the .ass/.ssa file on Notepad is fine, asuming you know that this is where the script for a fansub episode is, but you would still need to know how to demux the file to get ahold of the .ass/.ssa file in the first place. And like I said, most normal people don’t know how to do that, and have no need to use Google and learn how to do it, because MOST of them aren’t whining bitches (although I too wish there were less of these people around…).

I always seek out the best fansub available too, and Doki is the best for this series. You’re right, a good group will always fix their releases in their v2s or end-of-season batches or DVD/BR-rips.
But, I don’t see why it’s, for lack of a more appropriate word, “bad” to know about the basics of encoding a file. For minor errors like these, one can easily fix the stuff on one’s own instead of waiting for a fix. Of course, expecting everyone to know about more advanced techniques is silly; everyone would be an encoder if that were the case! Like I mentioned earlier, the extent of my knowledge on encoding is very limited. But, demuxing/remuxing is pretty simple to do. One just needs the three streams [audio/subtitle/video], and the video’s frame rate. Throw them into MKVMerge and voilà.
All that said, we seem to be on the same page as far as the subtitle issue goes, so I’ll drop this argument/discussion amalgam here, and end my post with a light-hearted note.

Man, I already downloaded “Hanairo” #25, but I’m afraid to watch it. I just don’t wanna see the 2nd best show of all of 2011 come to an end (and yea–I’m gonna be a nervous wreck come that final Sunday). Oh-BTW-“Madoka” is the first best show of 2011, with “Hanairo” directly behind it (And “Bunny Drop” and “Denpa Onna” rounding out the Top 4).
