Problem. If you go with Barusu, you lose the Ghibli joke, which was the intented purpose. Subaru even comments on it at one point.
Might as well localize Subaru as well since the “joke” is pointless as Balse without doing that to begin with. A simple TL note would explain this minor trivia. Especially to those who never seen Castle in the sky.

Would love to use your release, but just a question, DDY’s encode seems to be a bit clearer to me, is their encode a bit better, or did they just make it artificially look clearer?

ugh… why not use HEVC??
I’m guessing because there was either no need for it, or that Hi10P yielded better results.
i think its unnoticeable in my eyes and HEVC save more space
Then go for 720p.
I for one do notice that HEVC sometimes does more harm than good.
