Does anyone know where a good place to get the blu ray releases of the first season? It only looks like you did the second season, and so I didn’t know if I would have to stick with my TV versions for the original.
I have the mouchi tv releases of the 1st season, deadfish seems like the only decent one size wise and 720p, but its mp4.
Other then that there are a few groups with 1080p bd rips at almost 10GB
I don’t mind the size (since Doki’s 1080p batch of the second season is over 10GB as well), but I would like to get a blu ray version of the first season. I don’t remember which group I got my current TV version from (I keep thinking it’s Hatsuyuki, but I don’t see any mention of the first season on their site), but as long as the translation is good and it’s in 1080p, I’d be happy.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the torrent is still active, and I was able to download a patch so that the episodes use Mochi subs right from Elysium’s site, so hopefully it’ll all work out.
But what about specials? The only “group” that did them all in HD is Hi10.
Thanks for the head’s up. I grabbed the specials from Hi10’s site, and I already had the Matsuri OVA’s from Eve Taku, so as far as I know I’ve got everything available.

I guess its going to be a shocker when groups start switching to 12bit
Hi10 is a “group”, I don’t mind encodes that are 10bit, but his releases are a bit pain to download and even though it is Hi10P, it’s still really low bitrate.
