OVA 3 was never released on BD. It’s also crap.
It’s not because it’s like Mekakucity Actors in it’s releases. It’s why people in the west most times have no idea what’s going on and why it’s happening in that way.

No timeline explanation is going to change the fact that the third OVA is crap compared to the first two.
It’s not the timeline that was the focus. There’s more then just the anime for this Tenchi series in it’s story expansion. There’s manga too. As I wrote, it’s like Mekakucity Actors in that its story expands in other mediums. It is not like Tenchi Universe being self contained. I’m not a fan of that type of story structure myself.

You sir are mistaken. This uses the R1 script as a base translation and edits it. They did however, NOT fix the whole “Tenchi can’t be copied” issue. So episode 6 actually needs additional editing.

Pioneer Translation: Tenchi…the same name as the master key? Well done, Tsunami. Tenchi can’t be copied. Splendid plan. You’ve won, young man.
Literal Translation: Tenchi… the master key and this person have the same name? That Tsunami. Is regeneration not effective? Magnificent. I am defeated, boy….
It’s unclear whether Kagato is indirectly asking Tsunami (not literally) or blaming her for leading him astray with Tenchi-ken (hence the “splendid plan” in some translations). He speaks her name in the same frame and immediately after asking that question. It is distinctly separate from his next line regarding how his regeneration is ineffective against the damage by Tenchi.
Is it just me or are the timing in the subs of episode 12, the only one of the new releases I have finished so far, all wrong, Karaoke is missing and it seems like they are not the right ones. They start in the middle of the OP on both VLC and MPC-HC that play the other older releases just fine. From extracting the subs I can see that the Karaoke is not timed right and the dialog does not seem to match, the first line in the subs after the title card is “If that boy is in your way, eliminate him!” but in the dialog it is Zero saying something about Field Normal at about 1:48. Is this just me?
I couldn’t find anything wrong with ep 12. In the first place, ep 12 doesn’t even have a OP. And the TL/Timing seems to be accurate too. Did you do a CRC check?
Ep.12 of the 1448×1052 version is episode 11 with episode 12’s subtitles and chapter settings as far as i can tell, simple as that.

Grabbed this and was wondering why is “Here Comes Jurai part 2” missing? all i saw was the Omake as episode 14, good thing i still have the old DVD rips. And even though the next arc people do not like, i hope it gets BD treatment just for the sake of completion of this series.
