Sweet! Perfect excuse for me to rewatch the show (although I really should get back to finishing the manga first…)! S1 and 2 of Higurashi is one of my all-time favourite mystery anime series! Before all the rubbish Kai, Rei etc fanservice stuff arrived…

Did you remove the message saying to you would do the BD’s of Amagi?
Yes because the sidebar is for TV/Web airings. Shows that we only do BD/DVD for don’t get listed there. I went ahead and removed it since the season is already over and everyone should have seen the message by now.
Don’t worry; we definitely haven’t forgotten about Amagi BDs. I love that show, and I’m making absolutely sure the BDs happen. Unfortunately, there is no BD source for Vol 1 yet. As soon as there is, though, we’ll get right on it!

Just re-watched this in a marathon session (way to spend New Year’s Eve eh?) and done at quarter to 6.
I still think that this series is so f’ed up. The brain struggles to put together the massive violence and death toll with the cutesy romance and gratuitous nudity. And they make sure that you remember that these are characters, and that this stuff happened to them. there are constant reminders of the clumsy secretary who was beheaded for stumbling into the wrong hallway. Nana’s prosthetic limbs keep coming detached, the violence is always present in the background somewhere, even while the over-the-top cutesy stuff is front and center. The way that this is maintained through the entire 14 episode run without either overloading until you’re desensitized, nor really letting up is quite brilliant.
I know that it’s legal for first cousins to marry in Japan, but I still find that romance just a little creepy, too. I mean, it’s implied that the reason that Kouta lies to Lucy about his cousin being a girl is that he suspects that she’ll get jealous, but if it were me, it would never occur to me that she might. After all, it’d be my cousin, right? I’m not sure what the popular attitude about that is in Japan. I know that there’s a recurring incest theme in doujin hentai manga (Not to mention certain anime) but I still get the feeling that this isn’t something that would be in the norm.
I still enjoyed the story the first time, and saw some new details this time, too. I think though that for pushing me out of my comfort zone this anime is probably second only to Higurashi which I’ll admit gave me nightmares for a while. (I have an issue with fingernails, okay?) There are likely more extreme ones out there, but not ones that I’d really want to watch.

Higurashi is nice, but I would really like to see Nanoha first. The video quality for all 3 seasons that are available out there are pretty bad. Then again, it’s the same for Higurashi… In the end, I’m just a random guy voicing my insignificant opinion, so whatever you guys think is best! Thanks for all the hard work put into these releases, and I’ll be looking forward to all your future releases in 2015 as well 😀
Yep. I’d love to be able to update my decade-old files for Nanoha (I do own the DVDs of the first two seasons, but it’s oh so much easier to watch on my computer)

I’m having a problem with the OP and ED songs subtitles, it keeps flickering and the video starts stuttering. I don’t see anyone else having the same problem, I tried searching on how to fix this but no good. So I need a hero, I’m holding out for a hero ’til the end of the night. He’s gotta be strong and he’s gotta be fast and he’s gotta be fresh from the fight.
What video player are you using? If your answer isn’t MPC with Klite or CCCP, then it’s a problem on your end. Especially if you’re using something like VLC.
Hi, sorry I forgot to mention I’m using MPC which also hit my mind that I might have been using an old version and is causing the problem. It’s fixed now after an update. Thank you!
