The things I’d do to that machine…
I just downloaded the 848×480 h264 BD AAC encode for volume 1 and is it me or is it the shittiest encode ever? Episode 1 jumps all over the place and is unwatchable and Ep 2 doesn’t even render.
Can someone please check them out?
Sounds like your issue. I assume you CRC checked them before posting? That is what it’s there for after all.
Should also add, if you are after “quality” 480 is never where it’s gonna be.

oops, figured out the problem.
They are STILL downloading to the seedbox some 8 hours after queuing them.
I’m so used to seeing files complete on the seedbox in a matter of seconds or minutes at the outside I failed to realise they are coming down at 2 k/bs a second instead of the usual 1 to 6 meg a second.
Hopefully they will all be good when the finally finish.

Oh and I’m never after “quality” I just want watchable 8 bit so I’m happy. Once they are scaled up on the TV at 1360×768 848×480 is perfectly acceptable.
Can someone please reseed Volumes 1-4 of the 848×480 version?
There are two of us with all of volume 2 apart from 1 meg.
Volume 1 is missing about 20 meg and no seeders.
Once they have been seeded I’ll leave them running as seeds on Holo’s wonderful seedbox so everyone else can get them.

Just a minor typo to fix for batches: at around 3:35 into episode 9, the line is written “Oh… has been missing since yesterday,” but I think it should be “Oh… Tyrant Rex has been missing since yesterday.” Subjects are helpful.
Also, I just noticed in episode 10: Somewhere there’s an “it’s” that’s supposed to be an “its,” and the line at 20:55 is missing an article: “Since you’re a talented hunting dog,” not “Since you’re talented hunting dog.”
I just hate how I can read these over like 3 times and still not catch something like these…
Though, that first one especially irritates me as I rewrote that like 3 different times trying to decide on whether to be literal or liberal… and then I still fuck up the line x|
I hate the auto correct function that is active in my head some times.
It’s tough to not overlook errors when you know what its supposed to say. A trick I’ve found helpful with correcting or quality checking is to read the lines aloud. Some aspect of the connection between brain and mouth adds an additional layer of screening.
Of course, you run the risk of looking like a crazy person as you sit alone in front of your computer in a dark room muttering to yourself, but these are the sacrifices we make for art.
This is in no way intended as criticism, it’s just a technique that’s worked for me. Thank you for your work, sir.
