Elfen Lied holds a special place in my heart, because it was the first anime that I watched 10 years ago. Given that I am not satisfied with the existing releases of this show , it was only a matter of time until I did it. Seeing as our BD releases are kind of slow these days, it’s about time I started something!
I plan to release ep by ep in the following days/weeks.
If you haven’t seen this before, I highly recommend it. If you have, watch it again!

If you say someone has a twisted mind just because of Elfen Lied, either you haven’t seen/finished this awesome anime or you failed to grasp the emotion embedded inside the story.

Just curious, what’s wrong with Coalgirls’ release?
Not that it’s “wrong” but Coalgirls used retail subs. Still, I don’t see any reason to release this, better focus on finishing existing stalled bluray releases

This though, there are other releases to choose from. Bludragon has a 1080p release that looks great as well, there’s so much other stuff to be done, no need to release something that’s been released numerous times.

I remember being on edge for this entire show, not knowing what was going to happen next but certain it wouldn’t be a good thing. It IS good, but . . . man . . .
One of the animu that I was exposed to during mine earlier years in this world… Have mixed interpretations at the time…

It wasn’t one of my first anime, but still I watched it like 9 years ago, so it gives me some nostalgia. It’ll be a good chance to rewatch it once the project is finished. Thank you for doing it!

EL was my first anime too – I just want to watch some with girls, boobs, etc. So the cover really catched me. I still remembering how I was frustrated about rivers of … and a lot of people … just for nothing (IMHO). I mean you can build drama without … so much people in so brutal way.

This was one of my first anime as well, I’m just a bit sad that I watched the dubbed version first (as I did with Angel Beats) :X don’t care much for Nancy Novotny.
Overall a great series, thank you for taking this on!
I watched this only dubbed and I found the German dub very good, a lot better than the English one (none of them are my mother tongue, so no favorites here 🙂 ). Maybe I will give the original also a try, since it is a top tier anime.
It was a nice watch, but the manga was so much better in my opinion (yes I know the manga was not finished during the time the anime aired, so that’s out of debate)
