With 26 episodes behind us, we are finished with Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei! It’s a bittersweet feeling to be done with a show with which you have spent such a long time. I want to thank the whole team for the awesome work they did, and for bearing with me and my being away on vacations. I couldn’t have done this without you guys! I also want to thank all our viewers, especially those who stuck with us until the end. You are the best!
Next season I’m expecting to translate Ore, Twintails ni Narimasu, because if there was anything that Mahouka was lacking, it was twintails. Moreover, most of the Mahouka team is joining me again for Twintails, which I’m really happy about.

That being said, it was one of those rare animes where I didn’t like the majority of characters. Especially the male lead; he just seemed to come off as the ultimate “Gary Sue”. Maybe this will be rectified if they do end up with another season (and keep in mind I’m still a couple of episodes behind, so there’s still a chance for my thoughts to change).

Yeah, the godmode-ness of the main guy pretty much ruined it. At least pretend he has to struggle. Plus he has zero emotions (except for one) so it got old pretty quick. I probably won’t check in on a second season.
In contrary with your preference, the stronger the male lead, the better I like it 🙂
Ofc, stronger doesn’t mean in term “strength” only, but there are many forms of strength (Like in Aldnoah, Inaho using very good tactic, or like Touma in Index, unyielding spirit 😀 and super godly-punch lol, etc). Yeah, I like typical shounen characters 😀
