Is Devil Survivor 2 on any of the Project leaders radar here? I know a few people like Shin Megami Tensei games, and I’m asking as Persona 4 was done here 😛

That’s kinda true. For example, Sword Art Online was much more interesting in the first arc, but got significantly plain in the ALO arc. Well, that’s my opinion, others might say different.
Personally I thought in most cases anime gets shortened seasons because the manga or light novels are still ongoing. If they think something will sell, they won’t make a filler ending as they know they can make more seasons when the material is there. That and budget issues.

Why can’t they just release a full 24/26 episode anime rather than going to season two?! This is really frustrating! 🙁
It is the same reason with Fate/Zero, the reason they do it is to keep the quality of the anime up.
With most 24/26 anime series the quality does reduce with each episode.

It was probably because they wouldn’t give the studio the money for a full season before seeing if it was going to sell or not
