Thanks for the release! If there are OVA & specials, which one (fansub group) is recommended to get (if the decision is final on not to do those)?
Dunno if anyone has done them.
Unless you can convince staff to do it it won’t be released here i’m afraid. Most people (including staff) were really disappointed in the anime and only kept releasing it because Doki doesn’t drop shows.
Love that mantra about not dropping shows:) Though I guess in this case, it came back to haunt the team doing the show lol
I sympathize with the staff on this anime’s disappointment but my reason to keep watching was only to see Ayase. Freaking hot.

Thankyou, utterly incredible the Japanese studio released this over 11 volumes. Kudos to those who bought this show, no doubt you paid close to a grand for it given how expensive Japanese Blu Rays are lol

Rather than giving them kudos, I feel like shaking my head back and forth at them while holding my hand to my face…Why the Japanese silently allow the anime industry to sucker them like that without complaining as much as a word is beyond me…I guess otaku will spend any amount of money in order to get their anime fix…Though I honestly also wonder where the hell they get the money to afford it even if they are willing to spend it. :-/
They must go without food or something to be able to afford these discs. I mean, anime is a lot more popular in Japan than it is in America/Europe, there’s nothing stopping studios from charging $20-30 for a popular show on DVD and a bit more on Blu Ray for a few episodes. If 100,000 people buy each volume thats over 2 million dollars, and the budget for said episodes more than made back.
Heck you could if costs say $200,000 an episode, and you have 2-3 episodes on a disc, you wouldnt need to sell that many to make your money back..

I kind of thought that the show had a lot of undeveloped potential, but really, I kept watching it because I don’t like to drop shows either.
Just asking if you guys are ever releasing a batch for Nichijou, doesn’t have to BD but an actual batch instead of 26 separate episodes that no one seeds
how many more vol’s are left for the BD? And when will a batch be expected?

I have to say I was generally disappointed with this series. The music is great but the script (I’m sure I heard/read several different characters say “Do as you like”) and video … lighter tones “bleeding”[?] into a darker background and general lack of resolution (not a problem with the encoding though, I checked several sources :P)
Particularly in OP1. Speaking of which, you may have noticed name tags are given in OP1. Although the resolution is low, I think it names “Argo” (i.e. not Arugou etc.). A small thing but is that the spelling for the batch? (might just be my memory of the TV script)
Guess I’ll have to get the OVA elsewhere. For anyone else who’s interested in it: I know Hatsuyuki is doing it.
Downloaded the 848×480 version. I can cycle through the multiple video tracks in the ED/OP. But for the life of me I can’t see the difference. Can somebody tell me what’s the different between the video tracks?
