Is the torrent for Motto To LOVE-Ru (720p) still alive ?
Well, actually I also need a torrent for To LOVE-Ru (1st season) due to the fansubbers I’ve pantiently waited to release the BDs giving its last breath ages ago. So far To LOVE-Ru OVA is all I have from this series.

Motto is still alive I downloaded it earlier. As for season one I was picky and searched torrent sites in order to get Chihiro’s subs, since it will match Doki’s Motto.
in the end the Chihiro torrents health wasn’t that strong. I chose to use Express Files, for search and direct download.
Search “ToLoveRu Trouble WS” in either torrent or Express Files to find Chihiro’s if you want.
In regards to BDs, there is going to be a BD Box release of Season 1 and the OVAs (and Season 2, although they were already released as single volume BDs) towards the end of November. If the BDs look good, we might consider doing them.
If Doki does that all, I will definately rewatch the entire thing.

No 1280×720 version like the other groups are doing? :-/ This is from a DVD source, is it not? :-/
Why would a dvd source get 720p? DVDs are 480 max .
DVDs are 480p not 720p… and this DVD is no way worth upscaling.
Ok, I’m sorry I asked. It’s just I saw SubDESU and AFFTW-Hatsuyuki released a 720p version, and I usually prefer those over 480p’s, even with upscales, so I thought maybe it was worth it. If it’s not in this case, then ok. I know DVD’s aren’t 720p, but they usually have better video quality than SD TV broadcasts (HDTV would of course be better), so I figured it’d be worth it.
They probably grabbed one of the share raws and went with it, lol.
Groups upscale to 720p for the sole reason of getting more downloads. (“This release is 720p HD, so it must look better than a 480p SD release!”)
How about, 576p release?
I’ve seen various “excuses” for that. Some say that the “color matrix is different” or something, some say that it makes typesetting easier, since DVDs are 720×480 anamorphic (which usually takes a bit more work to make the TS look good).
Regardless, and upscale is still an upscale.

That’s mostly why I never buy anime on Blu Ray anymore really. I see so many bad reviews because companies(Like Funimation) are doing upscales and apparently the picture almost always sucks.

There are no BDs for S1 and the OVAs yet. The BD Box will be out at the end of November.
S2 BD can be found on our tracker and our IRC XDCC bots.
So will these be a BD release of this OAV when the BD box comes out? Or is the box just the series?
If they release a BD of this OVA, we will update it.
