Well folks. Here’s your episode 4. I have to apologise for the few untranslated Spanish lines. Sadly, our Spanish helper has disappeared. However, you can thank masat for translating the German! Yes, Tari Tari is wonderfully multilingual. Anyway, I thought perhaps people would prefer to get it today than 2 or 3 days from now on account of a little Spanish.

In other news, welcome dorama-san. It seems it’s getting to that time in the series.

Sombrero guy went missing today :<

Well, after I watch the episode later today I can translate the spanish lines and post it here tomorrow if you plan on a v2 and nobody has done it by then. I can also check the spanish lines for ep.1 as some have slight mistranslations. That is if you plan of doing a v2 for that as well in the future.

    • Dys

I imagine by the time I get back to it, it will be rather pointless to v2 it.

We generally v2 to fix major errors quickly.

As for the mistranslations in episode THREE, I am rather positive that they’re not mistranslated, but are choosing English that makes sense over nonsense. There was a lot of debate over a couple of lines, where “I’m a fucking editor, and I say that makes no damned sense in English.” which ended in what made release.

      • Walo

I can imagine, but I think it’s not the translator’s fault but the fact that the guy speaks in a somewhat senseless way deliberately sometimes. : )

      • Gratefull

Hello, first of all i’d like to thank you for your hard work.
Second I’d like to post a translation (or a interpretation) of the spanish dialogues.

Now, about the song i think it’d better to wait for the official lyrics since it sometimes doesn’t make any sense, however the song is without any question about “moving forward (or walk) to your happiness”.

TL/DR: “People would prefer to get it today than 2 or 3 days from now on account of a little Spanish” I agree, it was the best decision.

There’s also the fact that most Japanese viewers wouldn’t understand the Spanish either, as it wasn’t subtitled in Japanese. So our English viewers aren’t really missing out on anything that wasn’t supposed to fly over the heads of most of the audience anyway. 🙂

Thanks for your translations, in any case! I’m a bit of a language geek, and even though I haven’t studied enough Spanish to understand the dialogue myself, it’s interesting to me to see how it translates to English. 😀

          • Pitchblack

These is a rare moment where I congratulate myself because I was able to understand some Spanish (third language) 😛

Thank you very much! If you guys need help with spanish just tell me, is my first language ~

  • Rawr

Multi lingual anime? Haven’t heard of that before, well besides random anime with English(Like Angel Beats with TK), anything beyond English/Japanese I mean.

Not following this show, just surprised about the above.

    • Tomoki

First time I heard of it as well.

      • Rokudaime

For reals you two? I’ve seen several anime that had 3 or more different languages in them. :-/

        • Rawr

          Which are those Rokudaime?

Wouldnt mind watching one non fanservice anime with mixed languages lol

          • Rokudaime

Alright, let’s which ones I can remember off the top of my head…Fate/stay night has German, English, and Japanese. Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO) has Japanese, English, French, and I’m not sure, it’s been a very long time since I watched the show, but possibly German as well (a girl in the show named Kanzaki Urumi knows those 4 languages, as well as Chinese, though she doesn’t use it in the series). Mahou Sensei Negima has Japanese, English, Latin, and Old Greek. There are 2 Chinese girls in the show as well, but I don’t remember if they ever actually speak any Chinese throughout the series. All of those have fanservice in them though, but in the first two at least, it’s not the main focus of the show. There are several others that I’ve watched that I think are multilingual, but I can’t be sure without rewatching them again, since it’s been a long time since the last time. Le Chevalier d’Eon for instance, is an historical drama that takes place in England, France, and Russia, with characters of various nationalities (no fanservice in that one) As an honorable mention, Sword of the Stranger (which is an awesome historical action movie with no fanservice. Go watch it. ; ) ) doesn’t have more than 2 languages, but it has lots of Chinese in addition to the Japanese.

          • Rokudaime

Just finished watching Season 2 of Toaru Majutsu no Index, and there’s an episode where they speak some Italian. ^^

  • Elvin21

Like the video grab… Thanks for the release! 🙂

  • Spincast

gotta admit that watching the 3rd ep, with spanish audio and english subbed was a first for me xDDDD jajaja.

    Thanks for the release!

  • Pawprint

Speaking factually, Sawa is a goddess.

  • masat

Naturally, I only agreed to work on this because of Sawa’s boobs 😉

  • Helcabro

I already have watched Tari Tari Episode 4, but I did not watch when someone speak German, could you tell me when this happened? Thank you. Ahh Sawa is so hot, I love her a lot.

    • Mimori

It was just one line. Vienna yells “Let’s do our best!” in German when everyone else just yells out in Japanese. This is why Vienna is the best ever. <3

  • deadman80

How can something 2-D look so deliciously 3-D? :3

  • Rokudaime

Lol, judging from the comments here, everybody’s fawning over Sawa. ; )

  • Ardilla del mal

  • Marcel

Thanks! And again it’s a very nice ep!

  • Big_Boss_90

    Thank you!

  • Haruya

    Many thanks for this episode!

Also, I am eagerly waiting for the Spanish translation and such. It is my first language after all, and I also happen to have taken several advanced Spanish courses throughout my degree, so yeah… it should be fun. 🙂

  • Danyo

Lovely episode, I just love konatsu <3

  • Nobody mentions it but there is an error in the original, when the strong guy waves goodbye and says “amigo” it is wrong, a female friend is “amiga”, like the computer >_<

    • Mimori

I was wondering about that, as I know from studying French and Italian that you usually make gender distinctions of that sort in romance languages. Good to know that I was right. :’D
