So, I did an experiment. I downloaded this ep (HD version) first using the torrent, then again using XDCC. The maximum download speed my crappy internet connection can reach is around 374-8kB/s. With the torrent, it took about 3 and a half minute, with the speed climbing upwards ’til it reached around 360kB/s, then fluctuating between 330-360 something kB afterwards, until it was done (though at one point it went down to 290). With XDCC, it took 3 min and 2 sec, with the speed staying at 374-6 kB/s pretty much all the time. So yeah, XDCC wins this time. I guess I’ll start using it more from now on. (￣ー￣)
