Not sure about 9:27 though. Not a big thing but it holds some significance when it came around to 18:50 an 20:36, with the difference between of being to be wary of those who tell him to “believe in them”, or what should have been “believe in yourself”.
It wouldn’t have really made sense if he listened to the advice but still asked to Inori if he could believe in her, but it would make sense if it was “believe in yourself” as 9:27.
Regardless, thanks again for all the work you guys put into this for us.
On the contrary, the two were supposed to match.
The point is that Inori never ASKED him to believe in her, He asked her if he could believe in her.
Then Gai went on to tell Shu to believe in him.
That was the point. It serves as a plot device for Shu to fall in love with Inori and come to suspect Gai.
I am totally blown away by this show… and, while I watch the simulcast, I only watch it because it’s simul… I prefer by far Doki’s subs! Great job, and keep it up!
