There are bear jokes in the US game of Persona 4. UnBEARable was one. I thought they were funny. :/
They tried to localize every time he says ‘kuma’ which means bear, so they ended up doing bear jokes on his dialogues for the translation. Sort of like Squid puns in ikamusume just because she says ‘de geso’.
Speaking of the American localization, I guess thats kinda like how they added *Shin Megami Tensei* infront of each Persona game they brought over despite it not officially being a Shin Megami Tensei game in Japan and is just called Persona 1,2,3,4 etc

Can YOU understand the Engrish? I can’t understand half of the words they’re saying. Our OP approximation last week was bad enough. Wait a week and we’ll, hopefully, have official lyrics.
I think they meant because they can’t pick out some of the lyrics in the first place. If you take a look at the soundtracks for the games Persona 3 and 4 as well as Trinity Soul, it seems awkward Engrish is Lotus Juice’s thing. It took people a long time to figure out the lyrics to Pursuing My True Self (It appeared in episode one’s opening in place of Sky’s The Limit).
Exactly. Can’t make heads or tails of half of the lines. We can’t add lyrics when we don’t know them.

The only problem I had with the Kara was the massive lag it gave me…I just hardsubbed the subs in and I could play with no problem.
This is most likely a problem with your subtitle renderer. If you switch subpictures to buffer to 0 in MPC-HC or DirectVobSub (depending on which you use) and tell it to allow animation while buffering, you shouldn’t get any lag at all.
Mine is set correctly. My problem is that my single core CPU and 1gb ram can’t handle karaoke and the regular subtitles on the screen all at once.
It would have been BEARter if you’d added puns.
I sure hope that was sarcasm, because that pun made my eyes bleed.

They didn’t change Morokin to King Moron so no, I am fairly certain they’ll keep the japanese names and nicknames.
We don’t change names. We only localise when it’s actually necessary to do so, and that would be unnecessary.
