I had never seen anything Higurashi when I agreed to translate this OVA. My feelings on it can be summed up thusly: “OH GOD, WHAT THE HECK AM I TRANSLATING?!” :’D
I think if you translated the actual show you’d probably feel the same way lol

Haha, aww~! Thank you. This isn’t really the sort of thing that I usually watch, and I think there was more fan-service in this one episode than in pretty much every anime I’ve ever watched added together. :’D But it was interesting to translate, and I hope you all enjoy it!
Need more fanservice-heavy and loli-licious anime for Mimi to translate, then. At least the rest of the series, anyway.

Hmm….the original Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Kai series were really great, but I never really liked Rei all that much, and I’m willing to bet this is more of the same:…fanservice and random wackiness that has very little or nothing to do with the actual complex storyline and horror in the main series. But whatever, of course I’l still watch them and archive them. It’s also a good thing that a group like Doki is doing it, so thanks for that. And uber-adorable Rika-chan is always nice. ^^ Nipaah~! ^^
Oh, and Mimori, seeing as how you’re a girl, I really would have been surprised if this was the kind of show you would usually watch, but I recommend you watch the two original main seasons, as it’s a great mystery/horror series, and not really what these silly OVA’s make it out to be. ; )
Think I’l rather wait for the batch than download one OVA at a time though.
