I don’t know why, but watching this episode gave me a really strong Planetes vibe. Maybe it’s just because young master Shijima reminds me so much of Arvind Ravi and he was the star of this episode, but I think it was more than that. This episode’s direction seemed to me to evoke the spirit of the Planetes anime. Anyone else out there get that same crazy vibe?
