The story is set in the year 2013, in the fictional city of NO.6, a sort of futuristic utopia. The protagonist, Shion, has the privilege of living in the city’s most luxurious area called ‘Chronos’ due to the fact that he was deemed highly intelligent by a series of medical tests performed on him when he was two years old. He led a comfortable and promising life up until his twelfth birthday when he met and sheltered an escapee called Nezumi one rainy day. The Public Security Bureau found out and exiled Shion from Chronos to the slums of the ‘Lost Town’. Now, four years later, he is suspected of murder and sentenced to the correctional institute where he once again meets, and is rescued by, Nezumi. Shion finds out about NO.6’s true nature, certain events that took place, and their connection with Nezumi…

lol, actually, you could have easily just downloaded the Iroha 14 torrent to get that. But yeah, post goes up, links get replaced. People just aren’t usually ridiculously quick enough to catch it.

I like better your version than gg, translation seems more emm closer to japanese ( at least what I noticed, which my poor japanese knowledge ), I don’t like changing too much and the font looks a lot better than gg. I’m only asking, but why you don’t post your torrents on nyaatorrents only on tokyotoshokan?

To be honest Holo you dont really needed nyaatorrents anyway, Doki is popular enough/well known enough for people to know what you’re doing and what you’re releasing anyway.
Why is Nezumi @ 13:08 and 13:11 translated to ‘Rat’? His name is Nezumi.
If you were Japanese and you met someone named Nezumi, what would you think?
Nezumi means rat. Shion even shows how strange he thinks this is when Rat tells him his name.
I understand that, but names shouldn’t be translated. Unless they were specifically referring to ‘rat’ at that time. I think later on they left it as Nezumi so that might be the case.

Got a little too close for comfort by the end of the episode…
Interesting episode. Avoided it when I heard all the shounen ai claims but decided to give it a second look when I saw people were getting really excited about it. From what I saw, this first episode tantalizes us with a premise similar to Huxley’s Brave New World. As I quite enjoyed the book when I read it years ago and as the show has very good animation, I’ll be looking forward to more of this, boys’ love elements be damned.
Only disappointment is that not enough happened before the end credits rolled to really warrant watching this episode all on its lonesome. Would have been much better to have watched 01 and then immediately started up 02. Oh well! Thanks for subbing this, guys.
