This guy speaks the truth. This show is trying to be another Azumanga, while it falls terribly short. The scenes in Azumanga made me laugh at the top of my lungs even if almost nothing was going on there, but Nichijou fails to accomplish the same thing, leaving me getting bored by a dull scene whilst nervously tapping on the desk. Yet, I will watch this series through.

This show has some logic to it. Not sure what logic that is, but it does what it does well. Granted, not perfect, but totally watchable, and really enjoyable. Kinda best of the season…..
I enjoy watching it, but one time a week is probably enough.
I don’t think I would watch a lot of Episodes of it on one day, like I do with other shows.
Great show, the over-the-top comedy that I personally enjoy makes it the most funniest show of the season. I’d say that is deserves a place in this season top5.

Splendid. The Animation and the humour both are awesome. And thank you very much for subbing this show, at least I prefer the doki subs.
The gun-girl and the guy on the goat is best. The three friends do provide some good comedy. What I hate the most is the whole girl-scientist and the girl-robot part. They are not funny and are just plain boring. That being said, they gain surprisingly large amount of screen-time compared to some of the other characters, and most of the time it’s just… nothing.
Having the robot girl at school would have provided a lot more interesting situations and maybe could have played out better in both comedy as well as being interesting. Instead it’s just whining and some kid who is also whining and we are supposed to believe she is a whis kid yet all she does is whine and eat milk, it’s just… nothing.
Still, I like the OP, I like some of the schemes and if that robot-girl-girl combo wasn’t in the show, I would have given it B+. Instead, I give it a C 🙁
I read a few chapters of the manga, and surprise, surprise, the Nano/Hakase combo is a bit shorter and Nano is indeed taking classes with everybody. I wonder why they did it, since not only they are probably going to change many scenes during its life time, but it also sort of takes away the reason Nano wanted to nobody to know she is a robot.
I’d imagine Nano will go to school in later episodes, considering the Episode 00 OVA, which takes place sometime into the story (because Sakamoto was already in it), in which Nano DOES go to school, since Mio-chan remarks on how Nano doesn’t seem to realise that everyone’s found out about her robot-ness.
I did a quick view on the episode 00, and there is no part in which Nano goes to school. Would you mind telling me where precisely it is mentioned or somehow the information she goes to school is implied? I remember Mio saying it in the manga, not in the anime.
BTW, if people have not read the manga, you should not worry for now, as all the jokes related to Nano going to school have been well adapted in my opinion, although I still don’t see how they are going to adapt certain jokes in later episodes…
The thing about this is that Artifact (again) mistranslated it. It’s not the most “disappointing” anime, it’s the most “not what I expected” anime, which does not necessary have to be a bad thing.
I like this show. But then I like the strangest things. It depends a lot on what kind of humor you like. It’s very hard to make a show that everyone will find funny.
Certainly my favorite series this season. I usually hate anything without a decent story, but this is just a delight to watch; there are some great series airing this season.

Nichijou is great. KyoAni’s animation is the best part about it, but other than that I find it hilarious.
I’m upset to hear that Nichijou was voted the most disappointing anime of spring 2011 on that survey though. 🙁
