You’re probably wondering what’s the holdup with 1080p. Basically, the problem is the patch. Some reason, the patch to convert from SA to DA is like over 600 MB. The FLAC is only like 100 MB. So I am debating what to do.
I’ll probably release 1080p in a Volume batch.

Can’t you just release 1080p now and patches for them later?
forget the patch. upload the flac stream, and just post a link to a mkvmerge guide. its not like theres order chapters or anything, so even a baby would be able to remux.

Agreed. I never had any interest in the patch from the start either. I hate shitty english dubs. Like everyone else has said, ignore the patch, or put it on hold for later, and just release the 1080p already. As you can clearly see, the majority of us that want the 1080p version aren’t interested in the patch anyway, so please don’t make us wait for a long, long time because of it.
Just release the flac file by itself. It is trivial to mux it in.
if there vast majority of you would bitch about an extra 100MB then they could have only done a dual audio release. but everybody bitched and moaned about it and now you have to wait. it’s your own fault.
why can’t you just appreciate the fact that they are doing to make everyone happy? the world isn’t going to end if the sub watches have to wait a few more days than normal.
We HAVEN’T waited for days, we’ve waited for weeks, and I find it pretty hard to believe that the wast majority has been bitching about the extra 100mb like you claim. I know I for one haven’t. I couldn’t care less about filesize, and I defenitely don’t care about dual audio. Whatever, I’l just have to wait for the batch.
it has barely been over a week since the first episode. so you haven’t waited for weeks. plus if you re-read all the comments on how it should be released, the majority said that they don’t want the dub because it will just bloat filesizes. they said to do patches. so that’s what you got and you still aren’t happy with it.
why can’t you just appreciate that they are doing something that you don’t want to do and are bringing you high quality anime? everybody on the internet is to spoiled nowadays.

I’m with the majority on this one. Just release the 1080p and the dub separately. No point in stalling the episodes because of crappy dubs most don’t care about.

The vibrancy of the colors, the richness of the palette and the clarity of the image on the 720p release of episode 01 were amazing. Iβve never seen a result as pleasing from a source even just a couple of years old, so much has changed.
Another group who had the same source as you did not achieve anything like as fine a result, which I only mention to show how much credit belongs to you and your team for the special quality. Congratulations and thanks.

Well from I can see there’s only two options:
Release the 1080p with DA or release the English Audio files later on so people can just mux them in. I would go with the DA option, if people don’t really want them, they could just mux it out. It looks more professional when a group does a full release.
Oh and Joseole99 is right, if people didn’t care about it being DA, we wouldn’t of had this dilemma to begin with.
My vote is to release the 1080p with dual audio, but with jpn as the default track. Those who want the dub can select it.
Size isn’t really a concern for the 1080p for me – it’s already huge with video bitrate, and that’s a good thing – so why worry? What’s a few more hundred MB? We can always mux it out ourselves if we really are desperate not to have it for some reason.
The dub wasnt that bad…anyways just continue releasing it in 720p with the eng patch since most people will grab that to save space or for those with limited bandwidth!
this isn’t the stone age, its not like there is a need to save space. You can get an uberly cheap HDDs these days…
Please, just go with SA for 1080p. I never watch Anime with Eng audio. It’s just not the same.
Only Anime I watched with Eng audio is Cowboy Bepop.
