When Yuki smiled, I almost had an heart attack. It was close.
10 months after initially announcing my plans to release this movie, I finally present it to you. I believe this is the only English release (apart from Mazui’s) that does not borrow Mazui’s translation.

Comparisons
Ideally I would like to make comparisons with Mazui’s final encode, but unfortunately they have not released, and I do not feel it is fair to compare with that shitty raw their LQ release uses.
Therefore I will compare with Coalgirls and Delicio.us. Coalgirls release I have to download ovenight, but I will post up a comparison with Delicio.us’s encode. There are 4 shots.

It would help. The movie refers to events which happened in season 2. Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody in actual fact.

hmm . it could help to bring out what nagato has experienced so far . but not too important
in the light novels the movie is volume 5 and the endless eight is volume 6 but they have a habit of skipping 6 months and then review them in the next volume .
i’d say watch definetly .
but watching the last episode of endless eight should be sufficient .
The movie is the forth novel
Well, Endless Eight is helpful for understanding the movie, but not essential (which Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody is). Sighs is optional.

I am not sure what Fileserve’s max file size is or if there are other limiting factors on it. Should I expect DDL links for 720p/1080p? Also, inb4 XDCC.
I’m pretty sure Fileserve would not appreciate someone uploading a 3.07GB file to it. You could split-RAR it, but that just gets ugly.
I am looking to split the file on the server, I havent found out how to yet. Max upload in Fileserve is 2 GB.
Nice, though I’ll wait until the 1080p version. From the looks of things, you guys did a better job in terms of banding. That goes a long way for me, since it’s very distracting.
What’s with the blocking in Kyon’s hair on your release? It’s not there on the BDMV nor the Delicio.us release. I also don’t see why you made your encode brighter.
I see no difference in Kyon’s hair between the Delicious and Doki releases, the only one that has ANY difference is the 2nd comparison shot, which is because the two are not on exactly the same frame.
The blocking in parts of Kyon’s hair is really small, at a PC Monitor it’s more like a little Dithering, at a very large Full-HD TV you maybe see it.
It doesn’t bother me because it is 720p and you have to upscale it to see.

Eagerly waiting the 1080p for archiving. Good work with the audio too.
Damm, 720p has FLAC audio which my computer really can’t play it very well, a lot of tearings due to FLAC audio. It can play other 720p with AAC, DTS, but not FLAC. >.<
Just demux the audio, reconvert it, remux, and hopefully the audio will sync properly and it should work. That, or just download the newest pack of K-Lite (that may work?).
I am not quite sure about this… I am not the type to demux the audio, reconvert it, then remux it.
